Day 746: Whole lotta fail
Apr. 17th, 2009 11:39 amSo there's been a whole lot of fail as far as me updating my journals. That's probably because life has been, well, full of me contemplating finals, contemplating next semester's classes, and other things.
Easter Sunday with dinner at Amber's was full of awesome. I had a really, really good time. I found some cheap easter supplies on Saturday while I was down at Walgreens getting some cereal, and so I bought it and put together some easter eggs in a basket (with some peeps), and after conference on Sunday I took them down to the trail center for the Sisters to have (and got me a hug for it). I used the leftover chocolate eggs to make easter baskets for the gang at Amber's. Cassie sort of ate and ran, but the rest of us stuck around for the food, for the dessert, and good conversation. Jake came to hang out with the singles, and we got into the dating debate about dos and don'ts, who asks who, who pays for what. It was fun and lively, and I managed to follow a recipe out of the book just fine. I whipped cream out of a carton instead of buying the redi-whip stuff, and so I had some leftovers.
On Monday my neighbor Stacie brought me some brownies as part of the neighbor baking exchange, and so I ate brownies and fruit with whipped cream for a couple of days to use up the supplies I'd gotten into for the sake of making the fruit salad for easter dinner. I watched House with Amber, and then came home and goofed. Tuesday was all right day - we got the alcoholism talk in PR, and then I ran errands and whatnot. Wednesday was pretty good - I fed the sister missionaries (we had Chinese food - I went to the Asian market and got steambuns) and did laundry.
On Thursday I lost my wallet, so I went a little nuts without it. Luckily, there was free food, but I had to call and report my credit cards lost. The lady at the one credit card place was helpful once I found the phone number to call (and pushing through all the automated menu options made me want to punch babies); the dude at the other credit card place had a thick accent and asked me annoying, non-pertinent questions and furthered my desire to go Dane Cook on a room full of infants. But I found my wallet in the parking lo after classes - it was beneath the car next to mine. I only noticed it as I was puling out in self-defeat (and I'd searched hard for the thing, too, only it's black and the garage is dark) and my headlights hit what looked like a smear of oil beneath the car next to mine, so I got out and checked and - yep! It was mine.
I sat through my final trial practice trial last night and was as nice a witness as I could be. It was good times.
School is almost over. I registered for my 3L classes yesterday. Wow. I'm almost two-thirds of the way through law school. How scary is that?
