So far life is going all right. I will be the first to confess, whole-heartedly and a little shamefacedly, that I have not studied nearly enough the past two days, but I got one outline done, so that's at least a few brownie points, right? Wednesday night was tame - it was reading and Criminal Minds. Ooooh, Criminal Minds. Made me smile immensely. Another good episode, especially given that it was a first for both the writer and director. I had a serious sense of schadenfreude knowing that a whole bunch of little Twilight fangirls were going to tune in and watch and then be devastated when their pretty sparkly vampire boy ended up being a serial killer whose murderous alter ego was female! (Not to mention he looked oddly all right in drag.) I'm waiting for the poor little Twilight fangirls get an unexpected eyefull when Little Ashes comes about. Because I'm a horrible person like that.

Thursday was school - Kent and I did some studying together for PR, and one session of studying seriously helped when we were in class working on the MPRE questions. That afternoon Lisa (the other Asian-girl-adopted-by-Gweilos) came and knocked on my door. She was visiting my neighbor Stacy (not to be confused with Stacy-from-Texas who does the dog shows) and had brought her dogs by to visit, so I went and hung out. I met Lisa's roommate and learned that another former §B 2L lives in our building as well, on the second floor. We got to hang out and chat, but then I had to run and eat food before busting out of there for visiting teaching. It was genuine visiting teaching - we talked about the message in the Ensign and everything. And then Dr. LeAnn showed up and brought her extra guitar with her, so we played Rock Band. It was super, super awesome. We rock and roll.

Friday was a whole lot of me goofing off and not studying. After this I should hit some flashcards so I don't have to hit them on Monday, but Secured Transactions requires a full brain and usually I am full of fail on that front this late at night. I went to Jessie and James's wedding reception (shoulda taken my camera because Jessie was in her big floofy white dress) and mostly sat around talking to, well, Ryan. Who may or may not have been attempting to wheedle me into being his meatshield for a night of dancing out at the Max. We couldn't figure out which night was gay night but we both agreed that wouldn't be a good night for him to go. After the reception I went to Angela's and we had a serious Criminal Minds Marathon (six episodes) and then girl talk. Her sister had sent her a nice Easter Box, so we ate our way through it.

Today I worked on an outline, and went to pick up supplies for my contribution to Amber's Easter Dinner tomorrow. I was a little apprehensive about going out at first because the tornado sirens went off - twice. But this is usually the Saturday when they're tested, and there was nothing on TV about it, so I didn't know what to do. But eventually I went. I made it to the adult session of Stake Conference in good enough time to sit on the comfy padded pews instead of one of the metal folding chairs in overflow, and I sat with Lindsey, Brielyn, Kaylee, and Keith. Tonight I heard a ninety-year-old man use the phrase "Wiki Page" and I almost died laughing.

I also got a phone call from Ericka yesterday which completely made my day. We talked for maybe an hour about life, writing, and growing up, and it was awesome. She, along with Angela, is convinced I need to ask Ryan out on a date before he goes back to Arizona to study for the bar. Yeah right. Maybe.

(The little voice in the back of my head that sounds like Brad says, rather firmly, NO.)

TV

Also, Castle with Nathan Fillion? Love it a lot.
