I was watching the weather last night and saw the weather man wearing the white coat. Sure enough, this morning when I went to the gym, it was snowing. Yes, I went to the gym. Let me pretend I have some resolve. None of the snow stuck, but it's been bloody freezing all day, and so I have ventured forth in a heavy coat, hat, scarf, and gloves, and wandered around campus looking very much like a pathetic lost child, all huddled down in on myself in my desperation to stay warm.

Time to back up.

So...I did get all those Christmas cards done, and I watched Ran. Surprisingly good movie. I thought Kyoami was cute, but wondered why he was cast young. I was under the impression that the fool in Lear is old. Oh well. I went to the movies with my sister, and we saw "Stranger Than Fiction." I loved it. It was a bit slow, but I loved the author's voice when she was narrating, especially the bit about the guitars. Her voice reminded me a bit of Neil Gaiman, and that dry, quirky English sense of humor that I love. It was a bit weird, Maggie Gyllenhaal kissing Will Ferrel, but oh well. And now I feel like such an evil person for killing off so many of my characters. Not that anyone actually dies for what I write (if some of my characters actually existed this would be even less of a pretty world than it already is not), but still, I could understand her guilt.

Sunday I went to church with the parents, most of which involved discussing (in a very ill-timed fashion) which of the boys at church were cute (none of them, since they were all underaged and I knew most of them from when they were twelve, and did my mother honestly have to start that conversation during the passing of the sacrament?). I also ended up ducking in and out of classes to help my mother in the library. Ran into Trina, the one nice girl in the entirety of my young women's experience (besides the Poly girls) and now she's up here, so I might see her around. Might. Hung out with the parents till supper, which was barbecued pork chops because they bought a new barbecue that was very cheap.

Then I drove home. All the fun began. I didn't realize until I was home that I had left my laptop - which was very important, as it had papers on it that I had to turn in on Monday. So mom and dad drove me up the laptop. And then they left. And mom left her purse. We've been playing possessions tag. Hopefully, Kitty was nice enough to get it back to mom when he went down to work today.

Seirra came over, and me, Sei, and Del stayed up very late talking. It was good to talk. BenTen became very ill in the middle of her shift at work and so Del had to fetch her at some ungodly hour of the night.

I was very tired on Monday, and it was a bit boring. Not mythology, never mythology. Criminal justice was boring and I think I have reaffirmed my professor's dislike of me. Who cares. Dickens was boring too. I've read Great Expectations too many times (and seen the Gwyneth Paltrow/Ethan Hawke version of the movie which, in a huge matter of irony, I found in the cheap DVD bin at Wal Mart) and so gack. I was very tired of that book before I even opened it again. Work was tedious and felt much slower than usual, and we had a load of no-shows. No Latin because Alex was ill, so I came home, napped, and watched Heroes with the girls.

Then we took ourselves to the movies to see the new James Bond movie. Again. The four of us were the only ones in the theatre, so we could be as loud and lewd as we wanted. It was great.

This morning I was up and went to the gym. When I got home, I was gross and sweaty, and my hair wanted washing, so I went for a shower. At the same time as someone in the apartment above. Of course, I was the one who was screwed out of hot water. It's one thing to be freezing wet in the shower in winter with the window cracked for ventilation. It's another thing to do it with four feet of equally wet and freezing wet hair to compound the awful sensation. We watched Rosenkrantz and Guildenstern are dead in Shakespeare today. Went shopping with Ericka - had to pick up new face scrubby stuff, and I wanted sushi. Didn't get any, and so will get up early tomorrow to seek some out. In the mean time, I gave myself a consolation prize by way of a pint of mint ice cream. So nyah.

Went to a meeting with Rochelle to see about being on the elections committee next semester. Let's see how Nagi does with politics.

Heroes was good last night. I have hopes for House tonight as well. I want to see Chase get punched in the face.

And okay, so I love everything minisinoo writes. And have been reading too much of it for my own good.

And I want to go to the winter formal this weekend. I think I'll just have to swallow my pride and find myself a date. Any candidates? Of course not. Except maybe Yuichi, because I won't have to talk to him much, and he's not so insufferably tall.
