Day 281: Dragged off of the bed

Lately I've been really really tired. Last night I more or less shoved all my books on the floor and crawled under the covers and passed out, with Shuichi Shindou's hyper pinkness in the background. Tonight I was curled up on the bed for a bit after Del left, but I dragged myself up off the bed and so here I am.

I had a great birthday. It was calm and simple and family-filled.

I was a bad girl on Valentine's Day and skipped two classes to drive down to St. George to get Japanese food and good pie with Nick. I should have visited Mom, but Nick and I sort of made a lame attempt at getting home in time for Latin, and when that fell through we went to get us some pie at the Village Inn. I liked Sushi before, but this was the first time I've had sashimi. It may sound awful, but guess what? I'm okay with eating raw fish. I've had tuna before, but I don't think I've eaten salmon or yellow tail before. It was interesting. Nick is much braver with the wasabi than I am. It was fun. After we got home I had to do homework, and we girls watched House, and Nick was nice and went to cheer up all his friends who were depressingly single on Valentine's Day.

Still. Been really tired lately.

My elder sister is getting a divorce because her husband cheated on her. I don't always get along with my sister, and I may not always like her, but I love her and all of the gang up here are behind her all the way, and like Del said, if you need limbs broken we can get things done.

We're good at getting things done.

I had to go watch one of Petersen's movies tonight, and it was interesting. I'm glad none of the others who had already seen The Usual Suspects didn't ruin it for me. Not that I didn't have it predicted, but it was still fun to watch the truth unfold. I don't think Gabriel Byrne is all that hot, but I am a sucker for an Irish accent. Rae was awesome and drove me home because she didn't like the idea of me walking home all alone in the dark.

I'm also worried about Nick. He took a fairly nasty hit to the ribs in kung fu on Monday, and he went back tonight, and upon arriving back at the dorms he looked pretty much in pain. I think he did something to his ankle (I'm gonna drag him to the doctor kicking and screaming if I have to) and I think he said something about taking a couple of hits to the head. He had a headache earlier that he had to take a test through, so I'm really worried about him.

And he has resolved to quit smoking tobacco in general.

He has incredible willpower. I remember when BenTen was trying to quit smoking but lots of her other friends smoked. It's gonna be hard, but not as hard as quitting some things he's done, I suppose.

I love him and I'm worried about him.

I should sleep now.
