Day 259: New semester...
Jan. 10th, 2006 11:01 amThis semester started off as a "So." Last semester was a vigorous and enthusiastic "hwaet!", but in translation this time around things didn't go so well. The weekened before school started was pretty good. I hung out with Nick - we went to see "Have Fun With Dick and Jane", went out to eat with the others on Sunday Night before crashing in the Loft for some Serenity, and then retreating down to the A100 lobby for some card playing. I've been feeling nasty and queasy for the past few days, and so I wasn't feeling too hot on Sunday night to start with, and it carried over to Monday. Lots of horrible puking after meals - though Nick was nice and got me some pepto-bismol and sat with me till I felt a little better - and then my headache, which I'd had for about three days straight, decided to get worse, so any homework I might have planned do to didn't get done.
Classes yesterday really weren't that bad at all. I have American Lit II from Aton with Del, and it's always good to have a familiar face or two to make things better. I have Logic with Fitz and, Murphy's laughing, Austin. The class looks to be as fun as it was last time around. Fitz is trying to con me into taking an upper-division ethics class, but I'm already at eighteen creds and have no desire to truly run myself into the ground. Continental Lit looks to be fun as well, though Rae is still around, and now Del must suffer through her as well. Sorry, girl. I didn't sleep all too well last night, and ended up in Del's room all fuzzy-headed and not quite lucid but talking to the girls. I woke up vaguely early this morning to get some homework done. I've done what I can with Candide until later on tonight, I guess, although I am going to watch House if it kills me. I still need to get a jump on Huck Finn and the reading for Logic. We'll see how today's classes turn out. I'm looking forward to Franklin and Petersen again. Right now, though, I should probably think about making myself presentable before heading off to meet Del for lunch.
