Day 260: More journalism
Jan. 11th, 2006 06:38 pmBeing sick on Monday has cost me more than I ever wanted it to. I am so behind on reading and it's a bare three days into the semester. Of course, I'm taking eighteen creds and so I should expect this. I was less fuzzy on Tuesday, and my classes went better. Petersen's class is once again going to be challenging, but I think shall enjoy it. After this I think comic books and movies are going to completely and utterly ruined for me, and I'm not sure if that's going to be a good thing or a bad thing. Criminal Justice with Franklin is going to be fun. He's an awesome professor, but as in the CJ tradition, the textbook is as dull as ever. Latin is shaping up to be pretty awesome. Me, Nick, BenTen, and Alex are all taking it together. Chibi Scott and his girlfriend are in the class as well, so it's shaping up to be something of a strange nerd smash. Professor Harrison I've never had before, but he seems like a pretty awesome lecturer. My reading load is insane this semester, but I have the comfort of knowing that my professors are cool.
Today classes were better now that I'm clearheaded, and I've been trying to catch up on my reading. The fact that the Rae-bitch is in ALL THREE of my English classes is not helping, and today I started in one some imaginative classmate homicide, integrating my friends as characters and whatnot. I think I shall have some fun with that. I can't stand that woman. I'm hoping for a cruel chance to totally shut her down sometime when she opens her mouth and says something utterly stupid. Maybe Del and Aya can shut her down in other classes as well.
As far as the sickness goes, for the last couple of days I successfully held down food...until tonight at dinner. But I tried. I'm feeling better in general, though, so that's what counts.
This semester will get better, I'm sure.
