Day 101: Oh, the damning silence...
Jan. 29th, 2005 02:12 pmGlad you're doing all right, Del. Checked out your entries, of course...and when you get the chance, I would like to see that icon. You can usually tell Aya (sometimes called Ran) by the red ear-tails, the purple eyes and the one earring. Japanese guys look so good with ear-tails.
Yesterday was...blah. I got to sleep in an hour late. Went to classes. Passed a quiz in history. Panda tried to throw together a game of werewolf to avoid Elijah, and Aya and I engaged in the quest for a bit before we threw in the towel. I ended up in my room listening to music and writing. I also learned that it is completely possible to play DDR with just the hand controller without the pad and I'm upping my arrow-reading skills. Because one day I will own the DDR kid at DDR. One day. In the very far future. I still need to find my memory card, or just give in and get a new one. They're so bloody expensive. But I've proved that I can read arrows better than my body can respond to them. And now I know how Rodney felt when he was dazed by moving things on a screen.
I ended up watching HP CoS and writing weakly. Gotta work on that novel.
Took me forever to get out of bed this morning, but in the end I did it and BenTen and I went to lunch. Last I checked she's still in the library. I think I might do my laundry and get some reading done for the evil Tvordi paper (first of the semester!) and get a whole load of other reading done. So much reading. But I'd rather check out books and print off poetry than hide in the library and study. There's an unnatural stillness in the air there. It's sort of like a tomb. I do love wandering the rows and rows of shelves and being surrounded by books, but there's a reason I prefer to do heavy read-studying on my own. I have to have music and room to just get up and move so I don't go bonkers. And the occasional distraction to go along with it all.
Time to be a good student.
