Day 102: Serial Experiment Nagi
Jan. 31st, 2005 02:23 pmYesterday I managed to do something as moronic as stay up till five a.m. I personally blame it on all the chocolate we consumed during our game of vampire, and then the fire alarm that went off at about one a.m. I think I was getting tired at around then, and the alarm went of and I went into hyper panic mode to make sure BenTen was awake and got out as well as remembering shoes and a coat and my keys (although I probably wouldn't need them as much if there had been a real fire). But then I must have got my second wind and when I looked at my clock it was five a.m.
I woke up sometime around 2pm on Sunday afternoon. I vaguely remember BenTen coming to get me for lunch at around noon, but I just fell back into bed. When I finally got up I managed to get some homework done. I think I have a handle on that Milton paper. I know I have other stuff handled. BenTen and I have decided that we have to write as many papers as possible and get into as many academic conferences as possible so we can get into the colleges of our choice. Now I have to just write the papers. Tvordi liked one of my papers (the Lanyer-Donne one that I hated and thought was awful - go figure) and said she'd help me spruce it up for a conference, so I think I'll do that. And maybe I'll join Ericka in the massive history paper thing. The more conferences the better, I guess. I suppose that writing publishing thing is coming back to get me. Dammit.
But at dinner on Sunday night BenTen and I arrived early, and they had these awesome brownie-ice cream treats that I wanted to eat. A perfect spherical scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of a circle of brownie. So I grabbed one of the treats, loaded up with the requisited healthy dinner (turkey, mash, dressing and peas) and went to eat. I had a spare pill in my pocket (since most of them are in my purse and I only take my purse to lunch) so I could eat the treat. I spent the rest of the evening in some mild discomfort.
So today I decided to experiment upon myself and am regretting it sorely. I popped a pill and had a milkshake. Yup. Much regret. I thought it would be a good idea to try the limits of my pills. I can drink a carton of milk, and eat cheese quesadillas several nights in a row (as long as I have a pill at least one of those nights) and a scoop of ice cream causes more discomfort than a bowl, and a milk shake is just generally out of the question.
I think I'm having soup tonight.
Peace out, crew.

P.S. BenTen stopped by to give me her teddy-bear so I would feel better. All say 'awwwwwwwwwww'.
