So here I am. Busted my ass most of the weekend and so far I am ahead on my reading, but will have to scramble if I want to be able to keep up with everything else, because in my lit classes the reading is only going to get heavier from here on out, and I will have to keep working if I don't want to drown.

On Sunday, the gang rolled out of bed fairly lazily and went down to St. George. Del and BenTen took off to do some shopping while Nick and I stayed at the house and did some laundry and homework. More proof that I am not all that domesticated, I think. We watched some movies, like "Secondhand Lions" and "Behind Enemy Lines." BenTen napped, and Del went to visit her grandparents. Right now she is sick and holed up in her room, which has been declared a "Plague House." I pushed a happy note under her door wishing her good health, and soon, and promising hot Irishmen as her reward.

It was good to see my mom again, and sort of nice to see Dad too. He more or less hid at the other end of the house or was off doing home teaching, so it was mostly me, Mom and Nick doing the socializing thing. She played her dating game thing on us. For only dating for a couple of months, we seem to know each other pretty well. It was all right. Nick gets a little weirded out with questions, though he tends to be a very honest and open person. It's a strange conundrum. Dinner was excellent, and Mom is a great cook. Everyone loved the food, which was good. Chinese again, but we all love it. We'll be sure to ask for something else next time.

It was nice being home again. I have come to associate home with relaxation, which is nice. It turns out that Lola was, in fact, coming to the movie, which is why Alex and Seirra were late, but we all went and watched.

It was an interesting movie. A little slow. After being in Petersen's class for a few sessions and reading that book on filmmaking, I was concentrating more on film techniques and less on the film, so I had to sleep on it before I could reevaluate my opinion on the movie. I did see some people walk out, but it was early on. I'm thinking those people didn't know what to expect with that movie. Oh well. Seirra said it stayed quite true to the short story, so I'll have to read it and then decide what I think.

We made it home safe, although for a few moments there Del's car gave us trouble. Or was it BenTen who gave us trouble by accidentally knocking the gear shift into neutral? Either way, we made it home safely, so all is well.

One of my books came in the mail, so I'm happy.

I will do homework now.

I enjoyed having you and your friends over for dinner on Sunday. Sorry if I asked Nick tooooo many questions. Next time he is down I will keep my mouth shut. I hope you had some relaxing time here and now are ready to hit the books again. Dad is in Ohio next week. Would you like me to take you and Nick to dinner - say Wednesday? Hope Megan feels better.......

Mom, you can talk to him, it's okay, just go easy on the interrogations, I guess. I'm don't mind questions because I'm a girl, but he's a boy, and they're weird lke that.
