Yeah, last night? A supremely bad idea. By the time the caffeine wore off it was like four a.m. and I wasn't unconscious until at least half an hour after that. I rolled out of bed at seven a.m. right when the alarm clock went off, though, and wasn't fully conscious until I was in front of the mirror fixing my tie. I had thought I would last longer into the semester without resorting to weird schoolgirl tricks. Yeah.

American Lit was dumb but I turned my paper in and got one paper back with a nifty nice full twenty score on it, so I feel better. I also got a straight A on my Continental Lit paper, so now I know the sorts of things Aton expects and I should be all right. I attempted to write my critical theory paper between my first and second classes but ended up passed out on my bed. All I had typed up was my name and stuff in the corner and the very lame title. Until the girls came home and provided me with some awesome caffeine. Continental Lit was cool because Fitz was a guest lecturer and he ran us through the mechanics of ancient Greek, which was way awesome. Lunch was short and sweet for me, although Matthew sat with us and we all talked and laughed and had fun. He's a cool guy, and I like him a lot. I ran from lunch - saw Nick briefly, which made me happier than it should have - to attempt to write my paper. I was coming down from the caffeine high and it was burning in my head when Nick came in for a visit and witnessed the *headlaptop* of the senior English student. He offered to leave, but I invited him to stay (because I just like looking at him). I finished the paper by the skin of my teeth, and it was all incoherent and insane but I got it done and that was all I cared about. When I was done I just sort of sank down on the carpet and tried to relax - I was so wound up. From what Nick said, the crazy boy is going roadtripping for Thanksgiving, but hey, whatever.

Philosophy club was fun - we had pizza and talked. Fitz is just the coolest. Dinner was short, and I returned to my room to read. Now Del and I are attempting to teach BenTen to pitch notes. It's not going well. There is lots of laughter. Some girls crashed outside my window, so I turned Scars up really loudly until they left. They seemed very unapologetic about annoying me.

Now - onto the music lessons!
