Day 168: Thank God it's Friday night...
Jun. 10th, 2005 10:44 pmAnd I just...got paid!
Hell yeah! Made over four hundred bucks in this pay period. I am so jazzed. Ten percent comes out, of course, and then half goes into my savings, but the other half will go into my checking account, which means me running around and buying manga. I'm also going to hop online and see if I can find a copy of X Japan's Last Live concert on DVD for sale. That's gonna cost a bit, but it's going to be worth it!
These last couple of days I've done well at work. I've made my credit card limit and all that jazz. I even remembered to clock in. Things have been going well with mom and dad. I read Trickster's Queen on my day off. Easy read, and done quickly too, but it was well worth it. Now I remember why I love Tamora Pierce's Tortall universe.
Today we went and saw Madagascar. It was surprisingly short, for a film, but then animation features tend to be a lot shorter because so much work goes into them. Fun for the whole family, neh?
After we got home I attempted to help Sid with his math homework (laugh now). It didn't go so well, so we ended up enlisting the aid of Charlie. Wow, that boy is amazing at math! I wouldn't have been able to come up with a formula so quickly. But it was awesome, and once Sid and I worked through the equations we had the answer pretty quickly.
I'm doing a CD trade with Corry the cart boy. He's an RM, but one of the less psycho-Mormon ones. He's not a bad guy. He sorta reminds me of Sid, with his laid-back attitude and dead-on dead-panning. But he's going to burn me a CD of his music, and I'm going to burn him a CD of mine and we'll be even. Let's see how he does with J-rock, neh?
I also ran into Del's friend Keenan while I was at work. He was there with some of his guys - they were wandering around the front lanes poking at magazines and candy. I ended up with a hug from Keenan once I explained who I was. He is a nice boy.
Hope to see Del and BenTen soon!
