Day 141: Once again, it's been a while...
Apr. 23rd, 2005 11:12 amI have to get in the right frame of mind to right the big paper, which could mean that this weekend I'm going to be working on the small paper for Harris and memorizing French. I had no intention of working on the paper yesterday and slept from the time I got home till the time I went to dinner, and when Erin knocked on my door I was less than willing to move myself, but I went and ate like a good girl. Now that I think about it, I don't even remember what I ate. Shows you how memorable cafeteria food is.
Later that night Del came around, and then Erin popped in, and we talked for a bit. BenTen was horribly craving a cigarette and Del and were insisting that she couldn't have one and axed all her plans to walk down to Maverick to get some "ice cream", but in the end the four of us piled into Del's car and went to WalMart. I picked up a small carton of chocolate mint ice cream and a bag of teriyaki beef Jerky, and Del and BenTen picked up ice cream, but Erin got donuts. Daisuke and a girl I didn't know were there as well, grocery shopping (I'm guessing he went with her because she has a car and he doesn't) and he seemed rather alarmed at the prospect of girls buying chocolate ice cream with every intent of consuming the portion without outside help. Ah. He's learning about scary American girls.
We did end up in my room talking, eating ice cream and donuts and BenTen's weird alien cookies and talking girl stuff (first kiss, ideal guy, past boyfriends, all that jazz) and just hanging out and giggling. It was just a lot of good fun that, as much as I love my guy friends, girls cannot have with guys.
But we're all good and safe all the same. We're going to try to play D&D this weekend, but I have laundry to do, French to memorize and papers to write. BenTen and the Cub definitely can't play. I wonder if we can convince Del to rent the movie "Love Actually" one night and we'll count it as a study break or something. Hmmm...Jill and Del have been telling us to see that.
And Alan Rickman is kinda hot for an old guy.
Hmmm. Best not dwell on that.
Brad can turn a most interesting shade of green when I say just the wrong thing. Schuldig is falling on the floor laughing.
Heh Heh.
