Day 120: Girls' night out...
Feb. 27th, 2005 01:06 pmYesterday I was pretty productive as far as homework done. Finished my French and half of my CJ, so all I have left is some CJ and then some reading. Always some reading. That's what I get for being an English major. Could be worse - I could be writing like mad. The relief and sheer joy I felt when those three papers were done was just inexplicable. I lazed around a bit and went to supper and then Taji came by to talk - that ended when Del came around and we girls retreated to BenTen's room to make ourselves some vampires.
We learned lots about each other - and perhaps ourselves - in designing vampires for each other. It was an awesome experience, just sitting around and talking and having fun and getting to know each other. Sometime at around half past ten BenTen decided she was hungry so we went to Wal Mart and purchased ourselves the weirdest assortment of food. BenTen got cheese sticks, whipped cream cheese and a baguette. Del got beef jerky, a sobe and some chocolate. And I got corn tortillas. We sorta mixed it all up and ate it while we talked. Most awesome was when Del told us about her home. She's never really talked about it before, but just hearing about it was cool. Sounds like she lives up in a lovely place. BenTen freaked us out a bit with the requisite ghost tales, so we started talking about ghosts and ghost stories.
It's always great to just hang out with the girls. I love hanging out with the guys and gaming, but when the gaming is said and done I want to leave them and hide in my room alone. When I game with the girls (and Panda and the Cub - even though they're not the girls they're part of the gang) I want to stick around when the game is done and talk. In the end I'm a girl in a way that my guy friends just don't understand.
And then Brad, Schu and Farf smack me upside the head.
