So yesterday was spent reading for classes and pretending to nap to overcome a headache. But the big thing was that we girls were going to get together to "study" for our French oral exam. Some chocolate and jokes later (and me running late because I let myself get dragged into a Shinsengumi conversation with Scott) we were done. We girls have fun together. Even BenTen stuck around, but I think it may have partially been for the chocolate.

The fun began after Erin departed to do homework and Sarah had to get back to her husband. Del and I went to play some DDR. Loads of fun and craziness. Okay, so we were a little loud and a grouchy RA (Tracy) threatened to write us up but we had a great time. Shawn came down and played, and so did the DDR kid. Different people played, so that's what mattered. We had a pretty hefty group going for a while there.

Of course, I got embroiled in conversation with the DDR kid again - he's really easy to talk to - and we both stayed up till awful hours. By the time I was back in my room and my hair was washed it was about 2 a.m. I had to wait for my hair to dry a bit or I would have been doomed to death from pneumonia and possible death my self-strangulation. I had to shower, though, because I was all nasty and sticky and sweaty. And denim itches after you get all sweaty. When I woke up this morning - my alarm was set for half past seven because we girls agreed to meet at half past eight to do some last minute French rehearsal - my legs were sore and I was sure I'd have to crawl to class. But I got up and dressed - on a pathetic kind of autopilot - and we girls did well on our test. I made one horribly blatan mistake, and Del completely blanked on a line, but Erin jumped in fast enough that no one noticed, and Sarah half-botched a line, but it could have gone worse.

Brit Lit was pointless today. I need to get caught up on Dickens for that class, and I have some real homework from that class as well, but we ended up filling out these surveys about drugs and alcohol. The only thing I learned is that I'm a boring person and that the word "NO" starts to look very strange after you've seen it 178 times. And that those tests shouldn't be given to English majors because we go nuts when there are no antecedents or something.

Criminal justice ethics was enlightening, as always, and it was fun watching Professor Franklin stump the hell out of people. He's a funny guy. At lunch I grabbed something quick and wandered down toward the history classroom in the Centrum with the intention of getting a decent start on my new novel, but then I saw this sign advertising a lecture by Fitz, so I slipped in and listened. I think that both BenTen and I are quite interested in Nagel and his concepts of moral luck. I like moral luck. I think it would give the criminal justice system a massive overhaul. But oh well.

History as a class is always fun, but it seems to go so quickly. Perhaps because we have lots of admin stuff to cover. I like that history class. I have a weather headache and I've been feeling a little lightheaded (and I apologize to BenTen if she got spiked because I was downloading) but all in all I feel pretty good.

The latter part of that statement cracked me up to no end. The former I totally agree with. I felt like walking up the teacher and saying, "Could you fill this out for me? No, I haven't had any fun in the last year, thanks for rubbing it in."

Anyway, I don't think I'll see you before I leave, so have a safe trip to Sin City, and have fun with Benten and Mary Ellen (tell her good luck with everything) and I'll see you Monday for gaming. :)
