Baby Girl is allegedly due tomorrow but according to the doctor who checked me on Friday she’s unlikely to arrive on time. If she doesn’t show up by the middle of next week they will schedule me for an induction on Memorial Day. Fitting, I suppose, since 9 years ago on Memorial Day my husband and I went on our first date.

Husband’s first week at work was a success. He really enjoys his new job. Despite some of the corporate trappings he’s not used to (like training on “how to write an email properly”), he is excited to be working there and likes his coworkers.

My mom arrived on Tuesday, and she’s been amazing. She’s taken over the chores (I feel terribly lazy) and cooking (her food is so good though) and together we organized the nursery space for the baby.

Our home inspection went well this week. We hope to close on our purchase at the end of June. Our sale is set to close middle of next week. We are very glad.

We had our hospital tour Saturday, which was very helpful, so we know where we will have to go when the big day comes.

My mom bought me an awesome rocking chair for me and the baby (she did the same thing for my sister when she had her first baby) and I love it. It’s so comfortable. I took a nap in it the other day.

Here’s to hoping baby arrives this week! That would be nice.

Here goes!

You are in my thoughts - sending wishes for a smooth and uncomplicated birth!

Given that your husband only just started his new job, will he get any time off at all, beyond the day your baby actually arrives?
