Day 1330: Crawling out of the Dust

This week was a long week. Emotionally draining. My brain just kinda skipped Tuesday, went over to Wednesday, kept hoping it would be Friday sooner than it was. Even though most of my Friday was empty, I was just - tired. My mind is still kinda fuzzy and scrambled. I got moved out of my office in the courthouse and moved back into the central office. Had less stuff than I thought I did, got done faster than I anticipated. A couple of my coworkers helped me move in. They were super nice. One of them who helped me was apparently notorious for not helping other people, including pregnant women. It was kind of strange moving like that.
I did Word Wars this week, and I knitted a lot this week. Cody and I went out to dinner for Indian food with his lab mates, and afterwards we played Mario Kart and Mario Party, which I haven't played in years, and that was a lot of fun. Saturday I was lazy, gamed with the gang again, and also got to watch the fights with Cody, which was fun. Our picks won, so that was fun.
I also kept forgetting that this week was the Superbowl, so when we went to buy snacks on Saturday, it was pretty darn crazy.
I did manage to score some tasty soup and pie at the courthouse on Friday, which was nice, and I got to see my coworkers, which was good.
Court highlights this week include sitting in a room with a guy I know hits women for fun while he glared at me because I was telling him bad news (it's cool; there were prison guards and I had knitting needles). Also a kid hurled in back of the courtroom during drug court, which was gross. But hey, we got out of court early because of it.
Goal check-in:
Fitness! I was good till Friday. Friday I woke up and my entire body hurt. The dog pull was vicious. Also one time there was a deer in the park and I got yanked off my feet. Fun times. I have been abjectly lazy all weekend, no lies. Talking to my lady friends who are into fitness is helpful and inspiring though.
Spirituality! So lame. So terribly lame. Cody was sick, finally caught a cold or sinus infection or something after living with sick sad me for two months, so we stayed home from church.
Work! I have not been so hot with that. Work has been crazy. So I haven't studied much. But I did go to train some volunteers, and that did involve me teaching volunteers some stuff I know and refreshed by studying, so that was good. Made for a long day, that day. I was kind of a basket case by the end of it.
Writing! Last week started off kinda slow, new month started slow, but I finished one of February's deadline fics and got all kinds of inspiration for other fics that are due this month. Good times. Kinda losing momentum on one of the long fics I started last month. Need to try to keep it up.
Bobbin lace starts this week, and I am suuuuuper excited for it. Here goes!
