nagi_schwarz | Day 103: A reprisal

So the server must be having issues or something, because I posted yesterday and the entry just never showed up. I do hate losing entries. I usually never run into trouble on here even though the admin guys say something is up. There's a first time for everything.

Monday was...blah.

Yesterday was the usual run of classes. French was horrid, as per usual. We watched a French concert, and while I could enjoy the music watching that woman sing was a very scary thing indeed. I returned to the dorm with the intention of getting work done, but once I got done with the usual round of checking emails (because I love you, Mom) I ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours. I missed waking BenTen up for Spanish, but she's a big girl and got herself up. I spent the rest of the day feeling sort of lethargic and grouchy. I'd come down with a headache that almost put me to sleep during Milton (after I got over the heart attack of having to present on the English Civil War). And when I came out of class, it was snowing. Not in the movie-cute flurry of white snowflakes you can catch on your tongue snowing; it was some bizarre sci-fi armageddon snowing in which they weren't snowflakes but vanilla dippin' dots and they clacked against my books and bounced when they hit the ground. It was weird.

BenTen and I spent about half an hour last night in her room surfing the net for cool Celtic jewelry and then antique and costume jewelry. We had more fun than anyone should doing that - I've never seen so much ugly jewelry in my life. Whoever thought moonglow lucite was attractive was crazy. Every now and then BenTen would interject with "and someone put this on and said 'I look *good*'." We had a good laugh.

I made it to bed by midnight - I managed to get some homework done, but not enough to assauge my guilty nerves. Finished the Wollstonecraft novel. It was very 'woe is me, the smart christian woman'. I hate to be the one who always hates what we read (although so far I've been more than agreeable to the poetry) but that was just bollocks. Sorry, Wollstonecraft. I wanted to scream. But I finished it.

French this morning could have been worse. Had a quiz. Missed a word, and probably some gender articles, but hey, those are a pain to remember. This gender business is a serious nuisance. Brit Lit was...well, it just was. CJ was interesting - we covered Bloom's Taxonomy.

We had history for all of five minutes or so. The moron who was supposed to present never showed up, and then the four of us (Matt, Gage, BenTen and Me) more or less got reamed out, but it was all preaching to the choir in my opinion. BenTen, Matt and I are the only one who show up to class on a regular basis.

So now I have all afternoon to work on that Lycidas paper as we're not gaming tonight.
