Week 7 of 12. Over halfway. We made it. Over the hill.

And also I'm feeling a little over the hill, because hot damn, I am just way too old to be going to midweek concerts. But it was so good. Not a huge 30STM fan, but Jared Leto was definitely a crowd-pleaser.

(Things overheard at the concert during 30STM:

Is he wearing a dress?

Yes, he's wearing a dress.

No, he's wearing a robe. I think he's dressed like Jesus.

Is the drummer wearing a Santa hat?

Yes, yes he is.

You're wearing your Color Guard Angry Face. Is he not twirling the flag right?

No - well. He has to be respectful. At least he's not dropping it.

C'mon, you're the smallest. Up on our shoulders.

No. Do NOT pick me up!)

Muse was amazing. Not a lot of crowd interaction, but their show was visually stunning, the energy was fantastic. They kept the energy up even though all the songs had different paces, as it were. Such talented musicians. So much fun. Naomi and I danced like mad people.

Also, it was just awesome to hang out with Kip and Brent. Haven't done that in a while, so it was super fun. After the concert we went to Denny's. Didn't get to bed till after 2, but we had a great time.

Survived the week through to the weekend all right. It rained all weekend. We ran some errands, but mostly Cody spent it working on his paper. It poured rain in the valley, and the mountains are now all topped with snow. I know. September isn't even over yet. Mabon was the first day of autumn, they said. More like the last day, around here.

Went to church. Started crocheting some winter gear out of an abundance of caution. Also started watching a new show. I really liked Thandie Newton on Westworld and Martin Csokas on into the Badlands, and my undying affection for Kavan Smith is not much of a secret, so when I learned that all three of them were on Rogue (or at least the first season of it), I went for it. So worth it. Some amazing performances. Heck yeah.

Also I wrote a lot.

Still feeling a little under the weather, but I feel like sleeping a lot this weekend was good, and I feel like I hit the ground running at the start of this week, so I am glad.

We're still taking bets about whether or not my one coworker will come back.

But we will survive, either way!

Ran into an old colleague. Good to see her. She works hospice now, which I could never do. What a champ.

Missed 2 weeks of dance classes. Here's to catching up!
