Not my graduation. Nope. Hopefully I'm never graduating again, because I am so done with school.

But that was the big deal this week: my husband graduated from college. Magna cum laude. Spoke at graduation. Got to walk first, too. (I'm pretty sure he was the only one from the chem department who actually walked. Twelve graduated, one walked.) During the big super ceremony, I totally got weepy during the processional. Partially because I was remembering my graduation, partially because I am so, so proud of how well Cody did.

A super cool moment was running into one of my friends from Omaha who was also graduating - at the same time of Cody, in the same ceremony. Uber super cool was also the fact that she was the only girl graduating in mechanical engineering. Way to represent the sisters. It was a really amazing experience. Afterwards we (Cody's parents and brothers and Cody and I) went out to dinner at the same place we had our pre-wedding dinner, and we had good food, laughed, talked, and listened to the boys recount their major snowboarding wipeouts.

Good times.

Saturday night, Cody and I went to see the new Batman movie. I continue to be amazed at how awesome Christopher Nolan is, and I am so, so excited for The Man of Steel. It was sobering, going along too, and I kinda felt guilty, because of what happened at the midnight premiere in Colorado. It was a fantastic movie, and shouldn't we be in mourning or something? And naturally, people are going to go insane about issuing stricter gun controls, but we learned to kill each other long before guns existed, and if someone really wants to kill someone enough, he'll do it no matter what his access to weapons.

I enjoyed the movie thoroughly, and I do applaud Christopher Nolan, but I couldn't get the tragedy out of the back of my mind.

My sister and I have started up our own corner of fandom. I haven't posted anything new, yet, but I reckon when the time comes my big bang story will end up there. Right now I'm just trying to collect links to what I've already written in one place. We'll see how that goes.

There are already eighteen loans in the work queue for tomorrow. In all, I'm pretty terrified, but I think that's kinda justified.

So, here's to another work week, and here's to the official start of mine and Cody's summer. (School's out for the summer! School's out forever!...till grad school.)

Give Cody my congratulations -- that's a super awesome accomplishment!

Gahhh, I really want to see the new Batman and Spiderman movies, but there are no theaters in this rural little corner of Korea. Boo! Hopefully, there will be a weekend excursion to the movies at some point during my stay here.
