So, even though I was done on Tuesday, other people were not so fortunate. Today was the last day of exams. For everyone. I was pretty useless most of Wednesday and Thursday, crocheting and reading and writing and just being abjectly lazy. On Wednesday I did go to watch Amber do her thing in court, which was informative and entertaining. She was going up against a lawyer I've met at those obnoxious bar dinners, a formidable divorce attorney by all reputation, but I really think Amber had the law on her side. (I was tempted to put that Amber won, but it's not about the lawyers winning, it's about getting the law to work for your client. Just saying.) I watched Criminal Minds, which was a weird episode, and Law & Order, which I haven't seen in forever. I was up ridiculously late. Thursday was also full of me not being very useful. I wrote some, and got my Christmas cards done, and was otherwise generally useless. I had good times, though - crocheting, talking to friends online. Ericka and I rolled it in the middle of nowhere for the first time in a long time, and it was just good to talk to friends and whatnot. Today my biggest, most awesomest gig was doing my laundry. Doesn't sound awesome to you? It was awesome, because it was four loads. That's right - one person, four loads of laundry. But it's done. Oooh! Yesterday I finished a birthday present to go with the Christmas presents.

Today was pretty chill, though. I watched two movies - because, let's face it, I pretty much blew my Christmas money on movies, cheap ones from Wal-Mart. I watched Alvin & the Chipmunks because I'm a sad fangirl, it was cute, and I couldn't totally tell it was MGG doing Simon's voice. Inflections and all. And it was cute. And then I watched "Never Been Kissed," which I love a lot, because it has an awesome writer nerd girl who, well, gets her guy. Although movies like that always remind me about why I hated high school and tend to inspire temporary revenge fantasies. I hated high school and am in fact viciously glad that I'm not going to make it to my five year reunion. I did shriek at the screen a couple of times. And also remember how much I love Michael Vartan (which love was only fueled by Del lending me her seasons of Alias when we were housemates). So I shall do my proper daily dose of writing and then watch me some old episodes of Alias.

It's sad. For all that I am intensely cerebral, to the point of being an emotional cripple, the right face or voice or hands or whatever on a man makes me react in a fashion that is almost disgustingly visceral.

Mmmm...visceral.

Moving on.
