More like under the weather. In more ways than one. On Wednesday I got nailed with a headache of all suck after going to a work meeting with my boss, and at the end of things, as it turns out, I barely got four hours of work done. So I hauled myself home and finished off Peacemaker Kurogane. Cried like a little girl with a skinned knee when the kunoichi died, but after all the build-up they give it, there's really nothing else to do once you see her lying there, in the rain, dead. I finished the series, did some daily writing, and then - it was Transformers time! I scooted over to Angela's place, where I answered evidence questions for Jenny (but she forgot her ticket and had to dash home) and then Beth found a babysitter, so me, Dan, Angela, Kent, and Beth drove over to Iowa to see the new Transformers.

It was good times. It was funny and action-packed. Not stellar cinema, mind you, and mildly predictable, but fun all the same. We laughed and joked and had a good time. The boss fight at the end was too fast to enjoy, but all in all we had a good time. A storm broke out overhead out of nowhere on the way home, and as I dashed from Dan's car to my car I stepped in a puddle, so my driving foot was wet all the way home.

Yesterday was even worse in terms of getting work done. I got maybe two hours' worth done before Angela and I went to the movies. Which was awesome. I like Ryan Reynolds and I like Sandra Bullock, and together in The Proposal they were totally for the win. The movie was funny and quirky and in the end, very sweet, and Angela and I had a good time. Afterwards I continued not to get work done. I got quasi stood-up for visiting teaching, but I got it done anyway, and then came home. Slept. Fought to get my writing done, and for some reason a couple of my oldest, most familiar characters utterly refused to cooperate. Oh well.

Today was a much better day in terms of work. I got five hours' done, and next week I plan on working the third to cover some of the hours I failed at. I got some real ground work on my portion of the article, and I'm using my mac to make it pretty, because just writing it is boring. Angela and I went shopping - for cans of food to take to the belly dance charity show tonight. I also had to get some conditioner, since I was running out, and I'm still jonesing for steam buns, so I got some more. They also had those awesome Thai sesame rolls I love, so I got some of those. At Wal Mart I ended up buying four seasons of BtVS because they were fifteen bucks apiece, and I'm willing to be that cheap. Then I came home and worked.

The show was good times - Della danced, and my friend Becky danced (she's going to Bahrain to teach; she'll learn some amazing dancing there), and I got to see some really awesome stuff. Hakaan the physics professor was there. During the hafla at the end, I did my best to follow the Benu/Basharat girls doing their tribal thing, and I wasn't half bad. Most of the time I faked it, and I'm still utterly unable to lead, but it was a lot of fun all the same.

And now I should do my daily writing, maybe work on the article some more, and enjoy life. I was a little miserable on Wednesday and Thursday, which was kind of a letdown after such a happy Tuesday, but oh well.

Also, I got a surprise in the mail today. I got a "you have a package" notice in the mail, which confused me, but since I had to swing by the post office for my boss today anyway, I went to pick up the package - and it was a Shinsengumi haori. That my mom made. My mom is full of awesome and for the win. I look pretty hitokiri in it, if I do say so myself.

I'm just a little bipolar, aren't I?
