Monday evening was full of super cool. I went over to Amber's, and she made Chinese food, and we talked about boys, and then we studied Secured Transactions. Dan came over so we could take a study break, at which time we had lava cake, which Amber totally rocked at making and which I loved. Dan left, because he had to go back to studying, and Amber and I studied some more. We watched House, which was...oh. Wow. Amber-on-House was seriously, seriously creepy, and then House and Cuddy at the end...wow. I'm excited for the season finale.
Tuesday was a long day. I got the first half of my PR take-home test of suck done, and I'm probably going to get the other half done today. I had Pearl Harbor on in the background, because I am on a serious Josh Hartnett kick, and then I studied for Secured. I watched the Secured bar review video online, which seriously save my hide. I studied with Mom online, and I got to talk to Mom and Dad both online (yay for Internet conference calls!) and then I watched The Black Dahlia (I do like me a man in a nice fedora) and went to bed. I talked to Daniel some online, too, and we had mutual freak-outs over finals.
This morning I had Secured. I was terrified. I got to chat to Sylvia a bit, which was nice, and Paul, who sat behind me but was taking a different test entirely, was very reassuring about the whole thing. I felt pretty good about the test, better than I thought I would. I did the essay questions first, because they always take the longest. A couple of times I attempted to look stuff up, but it really wasn't worth it, so I did it from memory pretty much all the way through. I got out earlier than was comfortable, but once you're done you're done, so there's no reason to go all post-mortem on an exam while it's still a live threat in your hands, so I came home. I packaged up Mom's present and put it in the mail, and the lady at the post office assured me it'd get there in time. And now I'm home.
Wow. One test and I go from halfway done to three-quarters of the way done. I think tomorrow I shall take myself to see Wolverine. As a reward for surviving.
Also, totally random and possibly inappropriate note: we played D&D on Saturday night. Not a big deal - I play D&D on Saturday every other night, and all my friends know that. We just got done with a fairly big mini-campaign, and so we were getting our in-game rewards. We play mages at a mage school (one bard in the party) and since we did so well defending someone's property we are deputies of the local constabulary or whatever. And our prize, apart from this shiny new quasi-authority, is uniforms. With capes. And peaked wizard hats. And so everyone knows who we are, our capes are decorated with shiny badges in the shape of a star. And then we had to be sent to an intense training camp so we could be all ninja-like in our investigations. Since this is D&D, we get rowdy, so before our characters set out for camp, our DM asked us if we were all on the same page. Then Ellen said, "Let me get this straight, we're wearing stars and we're going to a camp." And the DM blinked, and the rest of us blinked, and a round of horrified laughter ensued (Little John caught on last, but he is only thirteen). And then the DM, totally straight-faced, raised one hand and said, "Sig heil." At which point Ellen informed him, "You just 'sig heiled' a Jew." More laughter. There were some good lines thrown around all night, for which we go extra experience points. We really are a rowdy bunch. But I'm never going to forget Ellen's line. The DM hadn't realized how the storyline could be paraphrased, and seemed mildly horrified as soon as he realized it, but Ellen knew he didn't mean anything by it and we laughed. A lot. We're bad people.
Tonight is a new episode of Criminal Minds, which will be awesome.
Wow. Almost done as a 2L. I'm kinda scared.
Also, I had the weirdest dream last night. In the dream I had a boyfriend. And when I woke up and discovered that I didn't have a boyfriend, I was kind of sad.
