I am all out of cool titles right now. Friday was a pretty good day. There was a special class with Dickhute, which kinda sucked, but it was about oral advocacy on the appellate level, with is extremely useful with moot court coming up, so it was good stuff to know. I ran errands after school on Friday and then went to the Institute to help Adam and the boys set up for the JRCLS attorney chapter dinner. If I hadn't ended up sitting a table that consisted pretty much of all the single students and lawyers it might have been an awesome networking opportunity, but I'm contrary like that and mostly went for the free food and the good conversation and also because I'm the secretary and it'd be lame of me if I didn't go. Afterwards Angela came back to my place and we watched Iron Man and played Guitar Hero. Angela and I are on about the same level, so it was good fun competing.

Saturday I was up in good time to go meet Professor Grossman about my paper. I was bad and didn't do homework, though. (Which would have mostly consisted of working on the paper anyway.) Instead, I turned on Kingdom of Heaven (found the fancy four-hour version for cheap) and watched it while I did laundry. Then I took a nap. Then I worked on the paper a bit while watching 27 Dresses (yes, again, but come on, James Marsden is pretty hot). Then I went to the Creighton soccer game. Which rocked! I had a good time - it was me, Angela, Amber, and Adam, all sitting in the student section and cheering. We were up two nil in the first half, but then Evansville came back and rallied for two in the second half. We scored a third goal with about fifteen seconds remaining. It was beautiful. Dramatic. Nail-biting. There were screams and cheers and all around it was good times. I got back to my apartment and was all kinds of in a good mood, so I called to tell my Dad all about Creighton soccer, and he was kind enough to fill me in on the English league (nyah nyah, Man U fans - Liverpool took you down!) and then, yes, I worked on my paper.

I had everything I needed, but it required some serious structural overhaul along with some more insistent facts from the record. So I was up, till, let's face it, half five. Yes, in the morning. Because I'm a fool. Luckily for me, church doesn't start till one, so I got to sleep in. I thought I looked fine, but everyone else said I rather looked like a zombie.

Still, I had a good weekend. I got to hang out with friends, watch movies, see my team win, and do useful things, like crochet a pair of baby booties (and this time someone will actually need them) and do laundry and work on a crocheted moogle doll. I also made a paper bird for Kara's desk at work, because when I saw it last it looked pretty plain and I thought she could use some, I don't know, decoration. Maybe I'll find some crocheted flowers I can make next or something.

Today was a good day. I cooked for myself, although I ate too much and when it was done I reflected that it is pretty depressing to have to cook for just one person.

I get to talk to my parents some more tonight.

And I'm going to bed at a decent time, too.
