This weekend I confess, I was horrifically lazy as far as homework goes, and I paid for it. Goodness gracious, I paid for it. By having a nightmare last night. It was one of those disaster-movie type nightmares where a whole bunch of us had to get the hell out of dodge to avoid disaster, and I got left behind. Seriously. When I woke up this morning with my alarm clock, I had a sodding heart attack. Almost. I was terrified and disoriented and had no clue what was going on and was literally afraid to leave my bed. I can't remember the last time I was that genuinely horrified. And I know what my dream meant. It meant I was going nuts about my stupid appellate brief.

I got the first part done. My goal was to get the first argument done, and I did it. So I have two more arguments to make, one for tomorrow, and one for Wednesday if all goes according to plan. I got homework done in the morning and worked on my brief and other things. I had lunch alone at the Java Jay, which was okay with me. I had fun in classes, although in crim law I totally fail at being an aggressive prosecutor. I met with my witness exam group after school (Amber was sick and couldn't make it, so we made cyber-comments for her) and it was good, helping each other with this cross-x business. It's a lot scarier than it looks in the movies. None of us know what we're doing and can only hope we're doing it right. Afterwards I stuck around to talk to Jessica a bit. She and Jen ask me questions about being LDS, and so I finally got brave and asked Jessica about being Jewish. She told me that Jews don't believe in an afterlife. I was floored. And confused. So I have a question for her: why do Jews think we're on earth? (No tasteless jokes, please.) I have to ask her. Because, despite me occasionally losing sight of it, I've always had an answer to that question. I wonder what her religion's answer is. I want to know!

FHE was fun - a photo scavenger hunt all over Omaha (mostly at night, though, so my photography sucks). I also got to talk to the sister missionaries, and I found out that one of them was roommates with my friend
