Day 672: Weather...whether...weathered...

So it's the weather. It was crazy warm all this week until Friday evening, which is why I have been obnoxiously fuzzy-minded. Friday was good. I got one outline updated, and then me, Jason, Angela, and Stacy went to have lunch at the Olive Garden, endless soup, salad, and breadsticks. All three of us girls got the same soup, so poor Jason was the odd man out, in more ways than one. It was good conversation and a nice escape from school. I went to the temple in the evening. I am pleased to say I learned a new name of someone in my ward, since there's a whole bunch of people whose names still escape me. I hung out with Kristy afterwards. We watched The Vision of Escaflowne and traded anime music, and then I slept.

I did nothing useful on Saturday save finish another outline, hang out with the sister missionaries, and go to stake conference. Really. On Thursday night I'd watched Virgin Snow all alone in my apartment. What looked like a promising action/comedy ended up being a heart-breaking romance. With Lee Jun Ki in the middle of it. I totally watched the King and the Clown and Hotel Venus as well. I've decided that I like foreign films a lot. And Lee Jun Ki is really, really hot. He needs to make movies that I can buy!

I had an awful headache most of Saturday, though, so I didn't work on my appellate brief at all, and it has plagued me immensely. I went to the second session of Stake Conference today. Out with the missionaries. Read for institute. Worked on people's Christmas presents. Some people did not request colors, so I picked colors for them, and that's that. Since I can make these little Cthulhus, I'm looking into making small crocheted and stuffed moogles next. Because we love our final fantasy.

I talked to mom on the phone on Friday because she was at this awesome art store in Salt Lake that's shutting down and a load of their stuff was on sale and she bought some for me, so I have cool eyes for the Cthulhus, crocheting patterns, and other shiny things on their way. Also jewelry wire. Because I can now successfully do the Byzantine weave. I'm thinking I like the roundmaille or Trizantine better, but I decided to start with something simple. I am annoyed at how quickly anodized steel goes all oxidated and black. It gets all over my hands while I work.

I've decided to attempt some cooking tonight. I had to call home this morning to see about cooking tips for that. It was all good. If I don't go to school tomorrow, it's because I have food poisoned myself. Here's to me not dying tonight.

I called my sister to wish her congratulations as she is now remarried. I know. Remarried. To a man who seems to be a sight far better than her previous spouse and who had better live up to that standard or risk some serious consequences from me. Because I'm so scary and all. All that's really left for me to do is prepare my lesson for next Sunday. I'll be teaching while my mom is in town, which will be really weird. But that's okay.

Anyway, hopefully the weather will stop beating me up. I do tire of these headaches.
