Here it is, the obligatory exam countdown. I've survived two exams now. There's something oddly stigmatizing about being the first to walk out of an exam, but today it was me. Melia made jokes about Dehner being expected to CALI, from which Dehner demurred and insisted the glory should fall to Madden. Or, once he noticed me, perhaps me. I wasn't feeling it. Only three questions for three hours - seventy minutes for the first, a mixed religion/speech question, sixty minutes for the second question about equal protection, and forty-five minutes for the last question, which was on substantive due process. I managed to keep a straight face about that last question, as it involved "obscene devices." Only Uncle Sean, I guess, given that the first question was about the funeral of a dead soldier. After two and a half hours of fierce scrawling, I couldn't really feel anything below my wrist, I could no longer write the word "discriminatory" and I couldn't think anymore. I went back to add some stuff on the first question, but my brain shut down, so when I was done, I was done. I left. Went to Office Max to get some supplies for school in the fall (it's not jumping the gun as much as one would think) and then I took myself off to rent some DVDs - August Rush, Martian Child, and Enchanted, because I felt like I wanted some brain candy.

I realize that during finals I'm pretty darn lazy. Apart from huddling in small places and reviewing an entire semester's material in the space of several hours, there's a whole lot of loafing around that goes on. I wasn't at all stressed out for Con Law, though, by the time this morning rolled around. It wasn't that I was confident - quite the opposite, in fact. I was just...apathetic. It was the epitome of "je m'en fiche." Before I headed off to school for the exam, I played Guitar Hero. That's right. Guitar Hero. No last-minute cram, no final freak-out, just a good laugh with the other handwriters and sorting through my pens.

Yeah. Finals are the most lazy time ever. Apart from studying like hell, I let myself slide as far as discipline.

Go finals.
