Day 560: Rules of School
Jan. 16th, 2008 09:36 amThis semester I have decided that it should be against the law for a student to spend more time at school than she does on sleep. Yesterday I was at school for ten and a half hours. And I worked THE ENTIRE TIME. Seriously. Got there at eight and did homework. Had class from nine to two. Did homework from two to five fifteen. Had class again till six thirty. Made it home by seven and wanted to pass out. You know what the worst part is? I didn't even get all my homework done. I ate and watched the entirety of the rest of the Samurai Champloo series because I really couldn't be bothered to do anything else. I think once I get my routine down Tuesdays and Thursdays won't be so bad. In the meantime, I have decided that Wednesday shall be my grand middle-of-the-week oasis of peace, wherein I shall be allowed to sleep in one hour and show up at school whenever the hell I want in the morning so long as it is in time for my first class (which doesn't start till half ten anyway). So I slept in today, did some errands at the office (which means my copy of the Stardust DVD arrived *squee*) and then I shall go to school. I will do lots of homework today, but I refuse to stay after, because I have to stay after hellishly long tomorrow.
Yesterday was good. I watched a cute Disney cartoon version of the Black Cauldron. It wasn't a musical, which was strange, and it rather deviated from the books, but I enjoyed it nonetheless. I've been a bit of a slacker on the whole kendo thing. Now that I'm working like a demon before dinner I think it shouldn't be much of an issue if I do kendo in the evenings. I think if I even do it twice a week or something that's much better than last semester. I want to get better and spar with my friends when I get home. I know Ericka's doing awesome fighting with the boys and I need to catch up all over again.
Okay. So Brad is reloading his gun. I ought to get to school.
I'm doing better today. Last night I was more than ready to have something of a mental breakdown, seeing how my annual HUGE breakdown is, er, rather overdue. It's about a year or so overdue. This is a good thing. It might not last with the way my schedule is. Also, I need to learn how to not be so angry and dwell on how people annoy me. At least I get over it eventually, huh?
