Made it home at about four in the afternoon on Friday, so I zoomed my way up to Cedar City with one goal in mind - my big brother. Needless to say, I was thrown off by his short, blond hair, but I glomped him anyway in the middle of the park. Sadly, I missed Logan's bid in the sparring ring, so we watched the Kindgom Arcadia kids battle a bit before we ran around. I saw belly-dancers and bought a new knife - sadly not small enough to wear in my hair as a disguised ornament - and, in the greatest surprise of all, saw Rosebud's brothers. I chatted to them for a bit, and then - a massive party of thirteen - we set off for Applebee's and food. I sat between Niichan and Samurai Bry. On the way Sei, Logan, and I picked up Chani and Curry, and Bry came with TJ in tow, plus Sarah and Jessica (whom I had never met before but more or less liked) and so we were the loud, rowdy table that you always sneer at when you're out to dinner with your family. We talked and had fun, although the table was split into two conversations. Without his Jesus beard, Clay was remarkably reminiscent of Panda. Most of all, Rosebud managed to drop by and see me there. I haven't seen her in far too long.

After the supper we ended up back at the apartment, but as that was too crowded we headed to campus. We started off on our ritual hill across from the dorms, but as we had intended to boffer fight a bit it wasn't an ideal location. Bry and TJ took off to do some ninja stuff, and Sei and Jessica took the kitten home, so the rest of us wandered off to the circle of intellect to take stupid pictures posing with the statues - as students at the school inevitably do - and have "epic battles" amidst the artwork. Niichan ended up drawing on my foot, and we sat around talking about the past and debating the finer points of ninja skills.

It got cold, so we wandered back to the apartment again - after running through the sprinklers like children and screeching in delight, though my wet glasses were no use - and tried to watch Fight Club. I ended up going outside to watch Niichan play his guitar and talk with him and Clay. Jessica and Sarah disappeared, and Del was asleep, though she woke up when Jesse (not the girl with the cat, but rather a charming, handsome, and admirably humorous blond boy) showed up. Some of us decided to head off to discovery park for another game of hot lava tag (wherein people must monkey their way from one piece of equipment to another for the ground is "hot lava), and left the boys (save Niichan and Clay) chatting in the parking lot. We didn't play tag; rather, we played on the swings and stared at the night sky and had quiet, thoughtful conversations to stave off the unnerving witching hour shadows. Then we went back to the apartment and found, predictably, the boys still talking in the parking lot.

I slept on the couch - Clay was on the other couch snoring contentedly despite the awful heat. I awoke the next day when the power went off, for the fans went off and the heat was too much to sleep through. I hung out with Niichan and we played with the kitten, but then it was time for him and Clay to go. Sarah and Bethany came by - Bethany and I reminisced about the good debate years - and we set off for HP5. It was intense. We talked about it afterwards. You'll see what I mean. Afterwards there was much lounging about, laughing, talking, and inter-DS Tetris smackdowns - usually from Chani until we ganged up on her. I got to see Marty for a bit - who, despite being my little brother, looks finer every time I see him - and we talked and I gave him his present. Then I drove home in the dark.

Today work went blissfully fast. I loved that. I started rereading HBP at lunch in preparation for DH this Friday. When I came home, the power here went off - and was off for a good four hours - so I finished HBP, called Sei and BenTen, and laughed when I saw an intro to logic included in my Law School Orientation packet. I shouldn't laugh, but I did. I am soooooo glad I took Fitz's class. Deductive logic, inductive logic, analogies, and fallacies. Wow. I don't feel so dumb anymore. Then again, I can't have been the only student to have taken a logic class as an undergrad.

There's a reason Aristotle is my hero.

I wanted to get so much done, but all of what I needed to do was on the internet and the power was off, so I'm annoyed. And I'm going to a bridal shower tomorrow night, so I need to go buy a gift.

I'm working on that writing thing as well, honest.
