Day 462: Late nights and dim lights
Apr. 22nd, 2007 06:54 pmSo. This weekend was - strange.
First of all, that thing people say about not waking sleeping dragons? It should also apply to Webers. I lose at life and I am slow, but I am never doing that again. Nope, next time I'm gonna poke him with the broom and then RUN. Although, if he is a gazelle like the boys say he is, then I'm screwed and you will probably find my head on a pike in his back garden amongst the boffer weapons and beehives.
We gamed, lamely. Actually, the game was in Ericka's Bright Nights arc (my game still doesn't have a real name, but I'll come up with one eventually) and we had fun. Sarah randomly ended up gaming with us as a Lasombra and actually did very well. The highlight of my night was taking out the majority of a series of zombies with my awesome ninja-like celerity. Kari is not one of my most consistent characters - she comes out as a reflection of my mood. We went to Denny's in the middle of the night and things were slow.
On an awesome side note, my friends made me a cake and bought me a card and candy as congratulations for getting into law school. It had candles and everything. I loved it.
Saturday was much more sedate. We were going to run my World of Darkness Mixed campaign but then ended up being down two men - we lost Curry to family and Weber to sleep after a red-eye run of WoW - and so we watched movies. Del wanted to go see Disturbia, but I didn't want to go. I honestly would have been fine on my own while BenTen was at work, but we ended up watching Shaun of the Dead and then Dead Poets Society. With some fast food thrown in. Sarah come over again, and we talked and stuff. Nothing big.
We also did play some random games together on our DS's, me and Logan and Del and Sei. I lost. Logan won. It was fun. Logan also beat me at Dawn of Sorrow vs mode, but it was fun. Today was slow and sedate. After Logan and Sarah left we girls stayed up till three or four in the morning talking and playing cards like we do, and then we rolled out of bed at around noon while BenTen was at the clan barbecue. We watched Eddie Izzard in French, looked at post secrets, ate the lovely donuts BenTen left for us, and talked some more. After Del took off for swing shift Sei and I went to visit Marty and Rowsmakitty. We also got to see Jen and Junpei and wish them felicitations for their upcoming nuptials.
Now I'm home. And I will start to try to post the murder mystery for all interested parties.
