Day 363: Another weekend
Oct. 7th, 2006 09:54 pmThis weekend came soon enough. I was grateful for it. This whole week the autumn storms have raged, and thus I have had a perpetual headache. I have been good about taking the medicine recently, but for a few days it felt as if my brain was trying crawl out of my skull through my right eye. Sound painful and strange? It was both. I ended up spending several hours talking to Lee (from philosophy club, goth boy) and Hayley (one of [Unknown site tag]'s old roommates) while on my way to drop off a DVD. We walked and talked, about being scrappers as kids, getting into trouble, and Magic: The Gathering. I thought I'd left my cards at home, but they're here with me. I will probably play again. I miss playing with Alex and Seirra and Nick, and watching Nick and Alex totally bitch each other out. I did my homework Thursday night, and then ended up going with Del to play cards with Natalie and Julie and some of the other day staff. It was a bit awkward, because I don't know them as well, but fun. I got out of the flat, at any rate. I didn't realize there was scoring involved in Uno, but oh well.
Friday was short. I was overjoyed to have received a letter from Niichan. I was not overjoyed at the high school students taking over campus and making it impossible to obain food, so I read Niichan's letter and then went home. I slept, and then after I awoke I began to work on Seirra's story, which is still coming along. The game took it's merry time to start, but it was fun. Longer this time. Marty did a fantastic job. I felt a bit bad when my character bullied his, but eh. I was amused that Ericka had not reviewed our character stats and forgot that I had two levels in celerity, so I nearly killed her NPC. Would've, if she hadn't distracted us with a different NPC. I think we got further than last time. I also think this is the third time I've frenzied in game, and the second time I attacked a party member due to frenzying. We watched the South Park episode that makes fun of WoW, some Stephen Lynch, and Mencia. The best part, for me, was the part about Asian students who kick ass but can't drive. "What are cars anyway...Asian kryptonite?" I laughed so hard because it's so true about me. We stayed up terribly late. I think I was in bed by six in the morning at the latest. I slept till noon, then spent several hours lounging on the couch reading trashy slash until Del called. Then I spent several hours playing DDR with the girls at Integrity House, which was fun. I missed those girls.
I read some Dickens, have downloaded too much music, sheet music, online novels, and have not touched my mythology. I want to game online. Go me.
Gonna game now.
