True, my hair isn't bushy enough and I don't have magically-fixed buckteeth, but when someone gives me carte blanche to go Hermione on his ass when it comes to schoolwork and homework, they had better expect some enforcement. Clearly, I have been underestimated, and as much as I don't like being dismissed, there's a strange, twisted satisfaction in being underestimated. Nick found that out this morning. Both of us have our first class at eleven. I wake up earlier because that's who I am, but when ten forty rolled around and he had showed no signs of consciousness, I took it upon myself to wake him. I woke him up and told him to go to class. He said no and he was tired. I went to bed before midnight last night, and since our game of Magic ended at about the same time I can only expect that he went to sleep soon after. Well, he said he was tired. He also didn't believe me when I said I would make him go to class. I tried the old-fashioned ripping-off of the covers to make the cold shock him into action. No such luck. He just attempted to burrow under the pillows. I stripped the bed of pillows and then kicked him off the bed. Literally. Braced my back against the wall, braced my feet against his back and shoved him off the bed. He climbed back on. And tried to snuggle under the covers again. As he leaves his clothes all over the floor, it was no difficult chore to locate a pair of jeans and a shirt and begin dressing him by force. Accompanied by Rent, brought to him by the wonder of MP3 player technology and some very good computer speakers. Heheheheh. I handed him his notebook, pen, and jacket and walked across the street with him to make sure he would go. I threatened him with some Aida and other musicals if this slothful behaviour persisted. As we walked he ruefully confessed that he hadn't believed I would make him go to class. Hah. And later on, I saw him in the hallway between classes. I think that's the first time that has ever happened. It's funny, really. He was still annoyed about it when I saw him after lunch. The others were amused at the tale. I am still amused, which is I am sharing it now.

Be warned. Hermione is on the loose. Beware ye who dare to skip classes.

But seriously, it's all good. I think I successfully conned Seirra and Erin into going to the international dance thing tonight. It's less of an actual dance and more of a chance to learn all sorts of ethnic dances, which is always fun for me. Erin can Latin a little, and so it will be fun for all, I think. We also have the midnight movie coming up, so I probably ought to take a nap so I can stay up for it. I think we Scoobies are going to go see The Producers. Yay.

I made it through another week!
