Earlier I was cold because I had a slight fever. Now I have this awful heat crawling under my skin and I'm all squirmy and uncomfortable, and I really want to write but the wrist of my right arm is sort of numb...sort of slow to move and is this what it feels like to have rheumatism? And I was planning on using my violin today. My head feels like it's stuffed full of cotton and my body is floating in this sauna in which I occasionally have ice water dumped on me and I really can't think properly and I haven't gotten any homework done today but I feel like crap so I just figured I'd say "sod it" and get some done tomorrow. The runny nose is going away, and if I'm not mistaken this annoying hot-flashy sort of feeling comes when a fever is breaking and I'm getting better.
I had a runny nose and sore throat last night, and it kept me awake for a few hours after I gave in and went to bed. I hate it when my throat burns like that and I have to keep waking myself up to blow my nose so the sore throat doesn't get any worse.
The game of Vampire was awesome, to say the least. Short but punchy and fun. As always, my character hasn't come out quite like I planned her too. I reckoned she'd be the more reticent type and as a retainer wouldn't say much because her mistress would do all the talking. Instead I ended up in some of the best repartee exchanges of my life - with Panda, of course, as he's a master of the art that is repartee. It was tough holding onto my accent - now I know why people lose it around me a lot - but it was fun all the same. It also makes me went to do better at speaking French. I can write it just fine, but speaking it is a whole different matter.
It was awesome hanging out with Mom and Delacoeur today. The movie was great. I loved it. I suppose I'll always hold a special place in my heart for the live performance, but the ending was just heart-wrenching. Although I did manage not to cry.
I love you, Mom.
And I love Dad, too. Told him so in an email.
Schu just smacked me upside the head.
Good night, world. I'll be back up to productivity snuff tomorrow. Tonight I think I'll just wallow in feeling sick.
