Let it first be known that Nagi hates snow. A lot. Schu and Farf are laughing at me and Brad is just rolling his eyes, but I do hate snow. I hate it enough that was I willing to look like a dork cowering beneath my rubber duck umbrella on the way down to the cafeteria for supper to minimalize snow contamination. Sure snow is pretty - if all I have to do is look at it. But if I have to walk through it or listen to some doofus scraping the sidewalk at 6 AM then no, I don't like snow. I grew up in the tropics, on islands and all that jazz. Cold is bad. Cold is evil. Cold is why everyone looks so pale. I've noticed that - everyone looks so pale and sort of wan and sickly...not that I'm not pale myself, but I've spent eighteen - almost nineteen - years developing something of a permanent tan so I don't look like a freshly revived corpse during winter. Not that pale is necessarily bad (read "Farfarello is glaring at me and sharpening a large knife") because it looks really good on some people...but still.

Classes are going well - I've managed to stay on top of my homework - so far so good. Brad cannot possibly think to whine about my productivity levels right now because I'm up to 100% (and falling slightly since I'm meant to be researching a dead poet right now) and despite the utter boredom that my volume of reading can produce, I've done all right. Been taking study breaks between reading assignments, which helps. And I've discovered that Japanese music is best for me to study to because I can't get distracted by the lyrics. It's great that way. And since Benten donated a load of Ayumi Hamasaki I've been all right. I do productive things during study breaks - work on the poetry collection for the original three Practical Girls, work on Niichan's art gift thing, carry on with novels. So I'm not a completely lazy schmutz in my spare time.

Some gaming tonight - ought to be fun.

It rained and snowed like mad yesterday, and it's flooding down in St. George and in Vegas too. I guess we're geting out of that drought we've been in. Mom called to make sure Benten's family was safe, as well as any other friends we have in Vegas. I hope Yutaro and Soujiro are all right - although Soujiro has a wedding to worry about right now.

Life is going.

Glad we're all in this together.

Gotta go before someone hurts me - three guys, three different weapons, no way to find the body.

Ja matte ne!
