See, the weekend doesn't actually count. You always have school off for the weekend. But today was Monday, so yeah. Gamila and I went down to the high school to visit our old teachers, Madden and Hansen, and it was strange walking those halls - I was partially terrified that I'd run into Richard, and seeing all those high school kids made me feel so old...the sophomores looked so tiny...hard to believe that I was once one of them. And Schu, from wherever he is, was kind enough to remind me that I still look like one of them. Then Gamila and I swung by the college to pick up Charlie. He's this really sweet Japanese boy I met over the summer in my Art 1010 class that I took down here at Dixie, and he is just one of the sweetest guys alive. He and Gamila got along great, but I wasn't surprised because they're both such likeable people. We went to the mall and wandered around the stores (Gamila and I were hunting for solstice candles) and had lunch. We poked around at the Hot Topic, and some old high school friends were working there. Including Garth, the sweet if strange boy I went to the Valentine's dance with my junior year. He makes a pretty cute goth, actually, but last I checked he bats for the other team. Bought more buttons - yes, I have finally discovered the joy of buttons. Mostly dorky Harry Potter ones, and a cool Nightmare Before Christmas, and an awesome Donnie Darko one.

Then we headed over to the arcade, but the dance machine was gone so we tried our hand at Tekken five. I am just lousy at arcade games. But there's a new member of the Kazama family - a girl - and Hwoarang is looking better and better. I didn't really like him with the long hair in 4. But I liked Violet better in 4. Turns out that there is in fact a DDR machine over at the arcade near the Laser Mania place, so I'm tempted to scrounge yet more money out of my account and head over there and play some games. Yes. I'm a loser. Made a contact with the guy who was on duty at the arcade and am looking to play a game of shadow run sometime over the break. Could be fun. Could end up with me visiting mom more often to game with a load of guys, except for the fact that Vampire is on Saturday night...gonna go to the used bookstore with mom and dad and see about getting me some old WoD books from Doc. He's an awesome guy that way.
Then we three headed back to my place and we played some DDR which was a little difficult because the gamepads were possessed, and then some Tekken. Gamila is truly a 1337 button-masher. Mom, Dad and I went out to dinner at Red Lobster, which was good. Try their key lime pie and frozen raspberry lemonade. Love the kick. It was fun going out with Mom and Dad, but sort of bizarre because the waitress thought I was twelve or something, but then I really ought to expect this nonsense by now. Not that I mind. I mean, once I'm talking about the right subject there's no way I'm one of those whiny pre-teens. It's sort of like being an only child, though, hanging around with Mom and Dad. Sort of fun, sort of strange. I think that Gamila and I might be getting together to write tomorrow for the Solstice. Should be interesting. Wish you could be there, Kawaranai.
Going to read and write some stuff now anyway.
