The irony of life is that, when I discover something fun, such as, say, CueLess Comedy, it's about go down and out. That's right. I worked my little tail off first thing Saturday morning with my mum in a garden so she could have help and so dad wouldn't have to do it. When it started to get hot, which is around 9 a.m. here, we gave up and went home. I spent the rest of the day being utterly lazy and getting caught up on the GW stuff I know and love, and then I took myself off to Laser Mania for the CueLess Comedy, i.e. St. George's would-be version of Off the Cuff. I hung around and talked to Megan, my friend Derrick's little sister who works at the laser place, and then I enjoyed the show. It was fun, competitive, between two teams. I recognized all but one of the players, and a few old high school acquaintances in the audience. As the audience was small - maybe ten people - I managed to get some of my ideas in games, like all four teenage mutant ninja turtles and Rogue sucking the life out of Gambit for the Party Quirks game. I also operated as a judge. I was impressed at how well the actors did, given such a small audience. I laughed long and hard, and it was good. But this weekend is the last show. Here I go and find myself something decent to do on weekends, and then bam! It's over.

Sunday was a good day. Went to church with the parents, and visited another recent heart surgery patient after. (There's something in the water in our neighborhood - within the last month we've had two knee surgery patients, two heart surgery patients, and at least one cataract surgery patient.) I spent the night relaxing. The best part of last night, ironically enough, was not a huge party or anything. The sister person came over and talked, mostly about herself, like she does. (Mary Ellen came and visited on Saturday. It was good to see her, and she looks good and happy and things, but I still worry about her. Less than I worry about my sister, though.)

The best thing about Saturday night was first - new people on Heavy Noir, which means there will be more fun things going on. And also just chatting to people online. Last night I talked to Ericka, Chani, Logan, Daniel, and Kitty, pretty much all at once. (There was one embarrassing moment when I replied to one conversation in the wrong conversation window, but it wasn't anything scandalous, so it wasn't so bad.) I love chatting to my friends online. I know I can't see them often, so getting to chat with them online is the next best thing.

Today was a good day at work. I got done with pretty much all of Brad's stuff by two, and so I got new fun assignments from Andy (mostly in the way of writing litigation, which is an awesome change from research, which I find a bit tedious). And now I am home.

I need to do things, like help my parents write their will, help my mother paint rooms in my sister's place before she moves out, and buy a wedding gift for Kacee. It will get done. It looks as though my Pack friends will be coming down this weekend as well, and that totally jazzes me. Also it panics me, as I will have to write more campaign things.

It can be done.

Sounds like you're keeping pretty busy. How's Mary Ellen? Is she still with Daphne (Daffny?)? Still living in Vegas? Still going to school?

Hope you guys have fun this weekend. I miss get-togethers like that like you would not believe.
