I was going to do lots today. Really. I worked my tail off during the week so I'd have time to work on my memo and outlines today. Did I do that? Not a chance. I tidied up my apartment, which is good, seeing how it hasn't been decently clean in a while. I'll give it a good scrub down on Thursday night - or maybe Wednesday - before I take off for home. But I finally did some picking up around here. I've been terribly lazy about it lately. Also...I totally spaced doing my laundry. Which I need to do before I go. So my dirty clothes don't sit in the hamper any longer than they have to.

I did go hang out with the sister missionaries, who are always very cool. I like them lots. We hung out with Kile, who went a little inactive but, if he gets back up on his feet, may go on a mission. He's an uber nerdy kid and reminds me oddly of Rodney - wears a lock on a belt loop on his pants, and his apartment is full of weapons, anime posters and wall scrolls, manga, and comics. He has three pieces of furniture - a bed, a TV, and a kitchen table (and also a very comfy gaming chair, but he is a gamer). He's a bit more socially awkward than Rodney, but he seems to be a nice guy overall. I think the sisters bring me along to translate the random nerd allusions, so that he has someone he can sort of connect to. Apparently being a nerd really does pay off. He showed us how to burn Calcium Carbide, which was pretty cool.

And then I spent the whole day doing absolutely nothing. Just hanging out on the couch reading cheesy fanfic, old stuff I'd read a long time ago, reliving old stuff, or finding new things. The entire time Brad hovered over me, desperate to shoot me, but luckily for me I have Schuldig on my side and so I have not been killed. It doesn't really assuage the guilt. I never feel like I work hard enough for law school.

I'm worried about Jason, who had an awful time yesterday, being sick and having to go to a deposition. I really hope he's okay. I went to the concert tonight and was totally blown away. Mo, the oral surgeon resident, was the "opening act." He's a good guitarist, a bit goofy, but entertaining. The main act, Elder Reynolds, just blew me away. He was charismatic, funny, charming, and very talented. An amazing guitarist, and a great singer. I guess he was in a band back in Vegas. Something of a high roller back in the day - his elder brother (a lawyer, because every band needs a lawyer and a manager) manages the Killers, and it turns out that Elder Reynolds was also friends with a certain lead singer of a famous band. They were both in bands and both wanted to go on missions, promised to go together. One went on his mission, and the other landed on the cover of Rolling Stone. One is a soldier, and the other has soul. Go figure. But Elder Reynolds is going to be famous someday. I was sad when the music ended. I had a good time, though.

And now I'm all by my lonesome in my apartment, probably going to waste the rest of the night, but that's okay.

I had a really, really good chill out.
