First of all, I must announce that I am... NAGI VICTORIOUS! That's right. I finished my paper. Brad can go hide in the corner and weep for a bit if he wants. I finally got the stupid thing out of the way. And you know what the worst part is? Between citations, having to look up some subsequent history, and fudging with Westlaw a bit, the stupid thing took less than three hours. Why didn't I do it sooner?

The simple answer is that I have been in a mad ennui funk.

And now I am in my groove. My sweet angel muses came back to me (for I am still foolishly pursuing nanowrimo) and now I am ready to roll. To make flashcards and review and be a general law student menace to those who do not have to study.

The Relief Society lesson went well. (This is a hyper Nagi backtracking to last Sunday.) Afterwards I went home and wrote more letters. This Sunday shall be dedicated to my mad tradition of Christmas Cards. No Akira Kurosawa films this time, though. I went to the fireside and looked at the pretty Gingerbread Houses. We girls did great, but there are some seriously talented artists out there. Jason came with me, and he seemed to have a good enough time. Halley and I might do a Christmas duet on our violins. First time playing in public. Brad wants to shoot me, but that's okay! I'm sure Halley can help me with my awful bowing.

Monday was a great day. Once again, I hung out with the Sister Missionaries and Jessie (you'd think they have better things to do than hang out with me, but they're awesome) and we had a grand old time. I almost always feel better about hanging out with them. Jessie's opening up more and more, and I like her lots. We also had FHE, where I was AGAIN doing the lesson. It went all right. Jason showed up for moral support, and then we hung around making paper turkeys, having pie, and a grand old time in general.

Tuesday was Monday-schedule classes, which was cool. Dallon is the man and had Torts early so kids could take off before noon. Jason and I ended up going to Taco Hell to study and have food. I nagged him about contracts in general (the formula being O + A + C (or SOGR) = K) and UCC 2-207, which scared the construction workers standing in line behind us. We also just talked and had fun, and then I headed home. Slacked off for a few hours before taking myself over to the hospital with an overnight back. "Pack a bag like you're staying overnight at a friend's house," the brochure said. I did. Had clothes, the blanket, Mr. Bear, my laptop, homework supplies, my DS, and my iPod. They're just lucky I didn't bring my D&D dice and war cards. The hospital tech was very nice. It wasn't fun having stuff stuck to me (or in my hair), and the tubes hurt my ears, but I slept all right. The next morning I showered and then scurried across the street for more tests. It snowed. My poor car.

So I spent most of Wednesday, till about three in the afternoon, taking naps and playing Castlevania or making Property flashcards. Ever been woken up right as you're about to fall asleep? Happened to me four times. I was a zombie when it was all done, and glad that four naps was all it took. The nurse, who was also very nice, said sometimes it took more than four. When I got home I was a zombie, and unable to think. I had done all my case research, but I couldn't do much more than stare at things like a moron. Tried some castlevania. Searched for more Bleach and failed. Ericka called, which was the BEST THING EVER because I love hearing from her. I also called my Mom.

Thanksgiving day was boring. I did more prelim work on my paper and worked on nanowrimo. I was still pretty zombie-like and my sleep schedule still shot to hell, so halfway through my day I braved the roads, found the cinema, and took me to see Enchanted, because James Marsden is super goofy and I also like Idina Menzel very much. I was sad when she didn't sing. I was tempted to get a ticket to Beowulf and catch another movie, then decided I ought to get home and finish paper prelim stuff. I was up till two instead of four this time, searching for old I-man epsidoes on YouTube and working on the nanowrimo novel. Of course, I'm behind.

I also found Bleach Episode 149. So I'm going to reward myself for all my hard work, and then watch it. Yay! And then maybe go see Beowulf.

But I'm done with the paper!

Finals, here I come...
