nagi_schwarzI reckon if I can be happy I can work well. And sometimes happiness precipitates upon people making fools of themselves in public. I stuck around to watch the second round of SUU idol, and it was pleasant hearing the nice voices. I got a total sadistic kick out of Richie T performing "Ghost Busters." What the hell was he thinking? I don't know how some people can get up in front of other people and do stuff like that, but it was so painful it was funny and I couldn't help but laugh.
It turns out, of course, that we have to do presentations on our final papers in Tvordi's senior class of doom, which means I need to bust my butt this week getting research done. I'm slugging through Milton as best as I can, on top of crap for all my other classes.
BenTen, Erin and I talked at dinner, and then Erin let us listen to one of her Loreen McKennit songs. Hanging out with her is good. She's a little more conservative than BenTen and I, but we like each other and it's good to just be around her more quiet presence now and again. Non sequitur. I know.
Me, BenTen and Del spent the last couple of hours hanging out and just talking. I did some homework and we psychoanalyzed each other. Del is best at it because she's a psych major. BenTen showed us her literacy pirates site, and I think I'll do it over the summer just so I get more patient about writing essays. Though an essay is a far cry from a paper.
Having friends like this is fun.
I taught mom how to rip music off CDs today. As long as she remembers the process she ought to be all right. She's not as technologically inept as she thinks; she just needs a little self-confidence is all.
I had a strange craving for beef jerky last night, and tonight it's already all gone.
