Yikes! Your heat sounds awful. It didn't get nearly that hot here, thank heavens. It stayed cool enough today that we turned off the AC and opened the windows to stay cool.
I swear when I was a kid, ghosts in movies were just kinda pale and creepy? But after The Ring hit it big, I felt like a lot of American horror movies picked up on the aesthetic, with the pale skin, dark shadows around the eyes, and the jerky, almost insect-like movement of the ghosts.
