Day 1050: Don't mess with Texas

They weren't kidding.

I started closing Texas loans this week. I'm awful at it. I'm slow at it. And it's kind of a relentless task. But if I get good at it, get fast at it, I'll be pretty good at it, and it'll keep me busy. Busy is better than bored.

I've been super tired and hungry this week. (No. I'm not pregnant. I know for sure.) I think I've been recovering from that cold that's been plaguing me since, well, Texas. (I noticed, on Twitter, to of the actors who were at ChiCon are down with colds. I hugged both of them. I feel bad.) But Cody has taken super good care of me.

Best parts of this week? Starting up my new belly dancing class. It's modern tribal, also known as tribal fusion, and requires super intense control and strength. I was super sore after the first class, but once I get the hang of it it will be so worth it. My teacher is incredibly talented, and I'm excited to learn from her. By far the best part, however, is my one year anniversary. (Which is today, by the way.) We celebrated it yesterday, since today is Sunday and we're not much for partying on Sundays.

We slept in late, which was nice. I never realized the best part of my day could be lying awake next to someone who's asleep and just watching him breathe. (I realize this makes me sound Edward Cullen creepy.) Just knowing he's alive...wow. Yeah. We've made it one year. Everyone says the first year is the hardest. I don't think that's true, but if it is, then I'm in for a long and deliriously happy marriage. We went out to lunch, and saw a movie, and went out to dinner. Also he bought me roses. Beautiful roses, intermingled with tiger lilies. Never let it be said that my husband isn't a romantic, in his own special way that completely complements mine. (I'm looking for baggage that goes with mine.)

So this week? Long and grueling. But this weekend? Made it all better.

So...back to watching Cowboy Bebop with my husband.
