Friday was a good day. Did call backs on jobs and got a hit from my girl Vanessa, my old trial team partner, who is running solo in Iowa, who offered to let me come shadow her at her office. I went to training for the first time in a while. Sensei Raymond was gruff affectionate, and Sensei Marr was super sweet, but it was tough. We spent most of our time fighting on the ground after we did line drills, and it was tough, but it was worth it. Annie yanked a whole lot of my hair, and Mickey dunked me hard on throws, and Ryan made me bleed, and Jacob popped me hard in the mouth so I cut the inside of my lip, but it was worth it.

On Saturday morning I went to train with Sensei Green, which was awesome. My shoulders are kinda killing me, but it was fun. Sean showed up, and after training we played the board game version of Doom, which was super fun and awesome. I felt bad for Sensei Green, whose brother died recently, but he was so sweet to me.

When I went home I tried out a new recipe on my crock pot. It's one of my new year's goals, to attempt a new recipe every week. Val came over and I attempted to teach her to crochet. I failed at the whole math thing, but it seems she has the basics down, so it was good. Angela came by and we watched an entire disk of SG1, which was awesome. And we cooked, and it was tasty, and then I talked to Cody.

Sunday was a good day, a happy day. Sensei Green ordered me into heels for a week, so Sunday was the first day, and of course it was horribly snowy, but that was okay, because it was a good day. Between Stephen's talk in sacrament, Lindsey's lesson in relief society, and the fireside, I gained some awesome perspective on life, and it was awesome. I was up early on Sunday to prep a lesson to teach, and I got letters done, and I talked to Cody after our fireside date, so it was a good day, but I ended up staying up till 2 a.m. dealing with a wild ball of yarn.

On Friday, my parents called me because they're evicting a client for the first time, and they need legal help. We spent some time Friday night after training doing all kinds of talking, and they called me a billion times, but I think it was good experience, learning to deal with clients.

Today I shadowed Vanessa at the office, which was super cool. She showed me how things go at the courthouse in Iowa, and she offered me some very helpful forms, so I'm excited. I took a ridiculously long nap, and then my parents called me a dozen times to talk eviction, and then I...crocheted. Watched The Cape, which was awesome, and attempted to catch Castle, but neighbor Amber came by to discuss boy woes, so I missed most of it.

I'm talking to Ericka and her former roommate Anna, debating stuff, plotting novels, and laughing at awkward wedding photos.

I talked to Cody, which made my day.
