Day 753: Day Three of 2L Spring Finals
Apr. 29th, 2009 09:04 pmToday was my first in-house exam. I was at school by eight, and despite the hideous red sign that insisted the student parking garage was full, I totally found a spot. We were in a room, we tenacious handwriters, all together - two exams, one room. There are less than less of us each time, but we're hanging on.
I felt much better once I read the first question than I'd felt last night as I went to sleep, the sweet melodies of Sam Cook in my head. The person next to me - Paul the attractive guy who managed to con me into golfing first semester - went multiple choice first, but I went straight for the essays. I know that I can usually get through multiple choice questions faster than in the time allotted, so I did the essays first. They were tough, and I reckon I missed a few finicky issues, but overall I think I did pretty well. I busted out of there earlier than I needed to because I mentally shortchanged myself by half an hour and thought I wouldn't have time to check over my multiple choice questions, some of which were pretty darn iffy. Some of them were also funny (one question asked which was more financially profitable, a plate of pancakes or ten grand; another option on a question was "pure cussedness").
Once I got home I called mom and opened a present, and now I have something super spiffy by which to organize my closet, and then I cleaned my apartment. I ate lunch, studied some T&E, visited with the sister missionaries, had dinner, talked to BenTen on the phone (sweet Isis, I love hearing her voice) and then I studied more. Watched Criminal Minds. Will study some more once I am done goofing off here. Or maybe I won't. Maybe I'll get up early tomorrow and study lots, because my T&E outline is pathetically short. I need to work crazy hard tomorrow.
It's been a long day, though. I've never studied after a final before, and my brain sorta wants to explode.
