That's right. We had another awesome Pack weekend, all in the name of Black Dog. Sort of. It was also in the name of shopping and chilling out and punching things. Read on to find out how that works.

The gang came down on Friday in full force - Logan, Ericka, Seirra, Chani, Marty, and Curry. It was all kinds of awesome to see them. We met up at the bookstore and bought things. I went to the mall with every intention of picking up that Steampunk book. I ended up getting the Steampunk book, a book on the I Ching, the Tao Te Ching (because I try to read the classics) and also getting this awesome top from Hot Topic. (I know. I have this weird inner goth chick. It happens.) We hung around the mall for a decently long time, and then we had good food and good conversation at Outback. Afterwards we came back to my place. We showed off the new things we'd bought (Chani bought awesome black converse boots that were tall, and we changed in the car before heading into the restaurant) and we chatted. And we gamed. We played cards and cast runes and were all kinds of nerdy. It was good to see them again, especially considering how infrequently I see Curry. He is the man, and I'm glad we're friends.

Logan, Curry, Marty, and Sei had to go back last night because Sei was working a swing today, so they left at about one. Chani crashed with me, and Ericka got the luxury of her own bed. We all woke up in stages, me first because a chihuahua was given to me. The little one. I nearly had a heart attack when a chihuahua jumped on my bed after I set the little one down and he scampered free, because he is small and three-legged and cannot jump up on anything. It was Audi. I haven't seen her in forever. She's lost weight, and she seems a bit...downtrodden. Her tail is always down and she looks more miserable than usual. Still an evil bitch, though. It was good to see her.

Oddly enough, Ericka got up before Chani, so we bummed around, talking and laughing. We took turns for showers and then we had lunch. We picked apricots off the tree, and Ericka learned how to break one in half for convenient consumption. Chani made her awesome spicy tomato soup, and Ericka and I made toasted cheese sandwiches, and we ate out on the patio. After food and clean-up we went out with Mum to JoAnn's where Chani bought fabric to help make a loli-goth dress out of the awesome Hot Topic top I got and also fabric to make this dream dress she dreamed about me wearing. Mom bought fabric to make me more cute suits for court (I'm gonna be one well-dressed lawyer) and we girls also hit up a thrift store. I got an awesome prom dress thing for ten bucks (because the zipper was a little busted). Mom also bought awesome fuzzy yarn so I could make her a hat and a scarf.

We paused on the way home to get icees, and then we chilled in my room. We messed around with today's Heavy Noir prompt (I still have to post mine) and talked. We all ended up napping. We had good food for dinner with my parents, and then after we chilled some more. My mom, who is a genius seamstress, made me another dress. I worked on her fluffy hat, but it was too big. I tried to undo it, but the fluffy yarn broke, so I've had to start from scratch with what portions of the skein I have left. I can get it done, though. I'm excited. I put in an appearance at Kacee's wedding reception. If Andy and his wife hadn't been there I would have been done for. I spotted some guys I knew in high school, but they didn't recognize me because I now have short hair. (I like that a lot.)

I zipped on home and we girls goofed off some more before we took ourselves out to, le sigh, the last show of CueLess Comedy. The entire cast and crew of the Tuna Can's High School Musical was there, but they provided a lot of energy for the show. Which was fantastic. During the intermission I showed Ericka and Chani the punching bag game, and we all took turns punching the bag. I was lame at first, but after the show I managed to break 6,000 points. Ericka broke 8,600, and Chani broke 8,300, which was totally cool. A couple of guys hung around watching us, and one of them tried to show Ericka up by rabbit-punching the thing with both hands. We conned him into going one-handed, and his hit was about the same. After the show we blew way too much money on the thing, taking turns and getting better and better (and trying to get Chani to roundhouse kick the thing) and then, out of the blue, the guy who'd been hanging around and watching grinned at us, pretty smoothly, and said, "So, can I get some phone numbers?"

We all froze, Chani and I because we have boyfriends and Ericka because she's Ericka. Then Chani and Ericka said no, rather regretfully, and I had the presence of mind to ask how old he was. Or how young he was, because he was sixteen. I was all, "Er, we're in our twenties. They have laws against that sort of thing," and he beat it pretty quickly, but it was still amusing. And at least a little flattering. Some guys aren't afraid of girls can punch harder than them. The girl at the counter, Megan, laughed pretty hard. It was amusing.

All in all, I do enjoy times with the crew of the good ship Black Dog.

We need a pirate flag.
