Day 532: Remember, Remember
Nov. 5th, 2007 10:19 pmAs I'm sure so many British people have noted today.
That's right - it's Guy Fawkes day. No fireworks or burning effigies for Nagi.
It's been a good Monday, though. Hot chocolate revved me up like coffee this morning, and I paid pretty good attention in property this morning, and in Con Law. I met my nanowrimo word count for today and also watched some Bleach. I paid good attention in Torts, and then came home. I got many more cool Christmas packages in the mail that have been squirreled away in the closet and out of sight so I won't be tempted to open them. Also, my mom sent me hordes of costume patterns that went on sale at the close of Halloween, and I am super excited. I have a hakama, and now I can score a kimono and many other cool things. I am very excited indeed. I checked things out down in the office and found out what whatever the burst pipe is, it's not going to come through my walls, and they vacuumed up some of the water so mould won't grow and get everyone sick, and someone's coming to check on the problem tomorrow, so that's good. Then I did Civ Pro like a good Nagi - more problems and a case. I then passed out, because Civ Pro does that to people (I saw a guy face-plant it in his book today). I woke up, had dinner, and read for Contracts.
FHE was like the newlywed game, only with all sorts of couples, like people who are roommates or best friends or dating or engaged, and we even had one long-married couple. It was fun to see what people will say about each other. Also, I learned what happens when one microwaves a bar of ivory soap for three minutes. Afterwards Brielyn and I had a vigorous half hour of kendo. We're both getting better. I think I'm going to have some awesome bruises tomorrow. War wounds make me smile. I came home and briefed Contracts, and now I have to do some ironing, and maybe a lost spot of homework and Bleach before bed.
All things considered, it's been an excellent Monday.
