Day 508: Super Squee!
Sep. 12th, 2007 05:24 pmOkay. So today was a good day at school. I got lots of work done at school and lots done here at home as well. I am getting faster at briefing cases. I did well today in Con Law, answering a question, and I understood a pretty tough case. I enjoy Con Law immensely, but the material is ususally much more dense than it seems in the book, and for once I grasped something, so I felt better.
Jason and I studied for a bit during the long lunch break, and then I took myself off to the Law School Ambassadors meeting because I thought, hey, I might like being a mentor to the ickle firsties next year, and there was also free food. I sat beside Adam, who had only come for the free food, and we ended up sitting next to the other Adam from Section B (who is also in my ward). Xiao had tried earlier to become the student SBA rep to the ABA and didn't make it, so when they started doing section elections for ambassadors and I saw Xiao I nominated her. Next thing I know, she popped up on the other side of the lecture hall, pointed at me, gaped, and nominated me. Clearly there was some revenge going on. From the look on her face, I was sure she was going to kill me. Probably in torts, as we sit together. Adam just laughed.
When we got out of the meeting I ran into Xiao, and she laughed and asked if I nominated her, and I said yes, and I asked if she nominated me, and she said yes because Jason told her I wanted to be a mentor. So it wasn't in revenge. Oh well. It was all in good fun, then.
I had a phone call from my sister when I got home. We traded jokes (Marty's one about Jesus and Moses playing golf) and she said she'd mail me her copy of FFXII. I reckoned, for a fair trade, I could mail her my copies of the first two Kingdom Hearts games because I've finished them. I won't have much time for FFXII, but every now and then I will enjoy the distraction.
I blew through my briefing for Contracts. Now I must face the dread of Civ Pro. I am ahead in Torts, Property, and Con Law, and all I have to do is briefing for those classes because I've read all the cases. But Civ Pro is tough. I have to work on some of the problems tonight, but I can do that.
Anyway, I discovered, to my pathetic joy, the whole deal that is iSquint. Wherein I can convert vids on YouTube for my iPod.
I am a very pathetic fangirl. There are things all over YouTube that fill my sad fangirlness.
And now I can have them on my iPod.
That's right. You should be scared. But I am squee-ing. A lot.
*squeeeeeeeeeeee*
Just had to get that out of my system.
I will work hard tonight.
Also, I decided to put myself up to minisinoo's Halloween Fic challenge. Sei-Jade, my darling, my beta, will you help me when it's done? Love you. *mwah*
Yes, I think these things to myself often. And I'm not even on caffeine. I did play DDR, though. Adrenaline is magic.
But still not as good as chocolate.
