Day 499: Biohazard, round one
Aug. 27th, 2007 06:21 pmSo I came down with a cold last night. Literally, last night. My nose started to get sniffly and it started to drain into my throat, which hurt. With all the sneezing that came with it, I just figured it was allergies. I was wrong. I woke up this morning with the same sore throat and runny nose. I tried the usual remedies for an overnight sore throat - I brushed my teeth and had a drink. To no avail.
It's official. I have a cold. I went to school. I came down with a migraine in property. I was fuzzy-headed all through con law. Once that class got done I managed to study with Jason and Xiao and the newest addition to our group, Tim. That went all right, but my nose was running something awful. Luckily for me, there was chicken noodle soup at the sidebar. Michelle, the lunch lady, said a cold is going around, so I don't feel so bad. I have no idea where I could've got this cold from, though. I felt and worse as the day progressed.
It's the second week of school, and I don't need this, so I got off my high horse and asked Dean Dallon if, I didn't better in a few days, some of the older guys in the ward would give me a blessing. Since Dean Dallon is nice, he didn't say anything other than yes. I was feeling better when I came home and thought - great! A cold that comes on this quickly will probably fade just as quickly.
I was so wrong. I worked for an hour or so and then fever hit, so I gave in and took a nap. The fever broke about an hour ago, so I played it easy and finished watching a movie (I had one running in the background while I did homework), and now I'm having a dinner. I guess now would be the time to call and set myself up a GP here in Omaha that works with my insurance.
Ack.
I've been sleeping well (during the week), I've been eating fruits and vegetables and even remembering to take my vitamins. I want to protest to the fates.
