Day 479: Easy Memories
Jul. 3rd, 2007 11:54 pmToday was a good day. I went to work and worked hard. Staring at the screen for so long started to give me a headache, sore eyes, and neck ache, but Dianne rescued me by giving me some brainless paperwork to do. There's a soothing rhythm to copying papers on the little printer, and I do it well. Mom came in to visit right before lunch to show off the awesome bargains she's found toward furnishing my new place. To celebrate the exorcism of my demon CD collection she find a nice little CD rack, and also a shoe rack that will hopefully cure me of my awful habit of leaving shoes everywhere.
After work, mom and I ran errands and ate pizza at Costco - where I'd bought a clock. Then we came home. I called Logan and we chatted - he's such a decent guy - and then Mom and I watched Blood Diamonds. Heartbreaking movie, though I predicted which character died, much to my mother's annoyance.
Afterwards, Mom and I sat and chatted about life in general and listened to the neighborhood kids get an early jump on the fireworks, which nearly sent Audi berserk.
Then I retreated to my room, and BenTen and I set up our Warped Tour adventure for this weekend. It's on, boys and girls. I will remember to bring my camera and take lots of pictures. I hope we have an awesome time. I think we will.
Someone rather unsavoury called me at a less-than-favourable hour last night, which made me grumpy and ruined my sleep, and then he had the temerity to ask me out on a date. I hope you all know me well enough to know what my answer was.
Tomorrow will be a lazy day, but I shall enjoy it. I should also start writing my speech for the Wooden O. Gack! I'm going to be an English student all over again.
It's summertime, boys and girls. I hope to have some more mad fun.
