So. I got half the day off work and drove up to Cedar. Collected things from the mail. Did grad school errands. Professor Franklin made me feel much better about my LSAT scores and gave me hope for things like automatic acceptance and scholarships. Which means applying to many more schools and freaking myself out. Let's see exactly what I'm capable of, eh?

I hung out at the cafeteria, which I haven't done in a long time, and then Sei and I hung out in the basement of the GC doing character prep. I am inexplicably excited about this campaign. I want to play so badly. I have to take care of BenTen, Lex, and Mark all in one go next Friday, but that's all good because their characters know each other anyway and we can do it all as a group. Logan met us in the basement of the GC, and we only got a bit done before I decided I was hungry (for once) and we hit Quizno's. I got to ride in Logan's awesome tall truck. Climbing in while armed with my antique bookbag of doom wasn't so great, but it was fun pretending to be tall. After Quizno's we ended up at the Grind where I got to coo over Ian Durant for a couple of seconds while he said hi to Logan. Then some guy named Freddie talked to me. Couldn't tell if he was hitting on me or not so I let it slide. Logan said he'd run into the guy before and it just sorta seemed like the guy wanted friends but was a bit forward about it. To escape Freddie's friend-making machinations we hit up Burger King and then crashed in the deserted lounge on campus. Security kicked us out, and Logan asked if Sei and I wanted to join him for the midnight showing of Ghost Rider, so we headed over to the Stadium 8. I am impressed by Logan's video game skills. I watched him play Pacman and was awed (I suck at that game). I'm so used to beating him down at Tekken that watching him own at a game was pretty cool.

The movie wasn't great. Wasn't bad. Johnny Blaze isn't punchy and funny like Peter Parker and I think Nicolas Cage pulled it off damn well. And wow he was ripped. I was very impressed. Eva Mendez, on the other hand, drove me up the wall. The film was a bit predictable, but it was still all right. I'd watch it again at the dollar theatre or if someone rented it and wanted to see it. After the movie Sei and I ditched Logan, who sank down in one of the chairs while we bolted for the exit. He looked pensive and for a moment or two I was dubious about our plan to just abandon, but I think he was just waiting for his friends. Or maybe to see something cool at the end of the credits. I crashed in Sei's room on her roommates bed and then snuck out this morning when my body refused to sleep any longer. Came home, helped my mom with stuff, napped, had supper, and then went down to Mesquite.

I had a hell of a lot of fun playing DDR in the arcade with some teenagers. I'm sure they thought I was a teenager too. Bingo ended up being a lot of fun. I loved punching the numbers with my cool blue pen. It was like a video game - the focus and concentration and fierce desire to win or something. Shaz, Sid, and I tried the penny slots wherein I won a grand 30 cents, and then we played another game, during which I got caffeinated. I drove us down, and I drove us back. Made it through the gorge. Annoyed the hell out of all of them by singing to my Jpop all the way. But it was cheap fun, three bucks a game. We girls should go some time and just make a night of it.

Although now I smell like an ashtray.

In the next few days I'm gonna have to bust the hell out of myself to get grad school done, and then do my taxes, and then I'm home free.

I like it.

If I haven't finished my grad school work by Friday night's first game, ONE PERSON is free to hit me.
