That's right. Today was a very hectic day. Lots of phone calls, faxing, fixing computer glitches for Dianne (I still can't believe that I'm someone's computer guru), and more copying medical bills and records than I could shake a stick at. My lunch hour was so worth it - listening to bawdy and terrible comedy songs and writing fiction on the floor of my office. I'm still getting used to the new phone system. Today I learned how to use the intercom. Maybe tomorrow I'll learn how to transfer callers to different people's voice mail inboxes.

After work I had a sudden burst of gumption (okay, so I geared myself up for it all the way home with a combination of Brad and music) and did a whole bunch of crazy stuff for the sake of getting into grad school. And then the website botched out on me, which sucks hardcore. I like paperwork. I'm good at paperwork. Paperwork online, on the other hand, sucks hardcore.

Last night mom and dad threw their Empty Nester party while I hid at the other end of the house, pouted because my Jeopardy had been replaced by a basketball game, watched Heroes and cooed, and worked my tail off for my upcoming World of Darkness campaign. Getting NPC's together is pretty hard, especially since I'm working in three systems (which will be a bit uncool but I am so glad that they mesh as well as they do). But I have something in the way of a storyline. I am thinking of calling people and having chats about characters since I won't be going up to Cedar for a couple of weeks - BenTen is going home this weekend, I think, and then she's going to Estrella. Not that my trips northward are entirely dependent on her. But this is convenient timing - I have two weekends for which I can bust my tail on grad school work and celebrate my birthday at the same time BenTen will be unavailable.

I am a bit nervous about Curry only because I don't know him so well. Although the others assure me he is fine. I have become nervous about new people. So sue me.

Tonight is house. I hope it's not as slow as last week. Time seems to be going so fast.

Today Olivia came back from Hawaii. She brought me chocolate and a very pretty silver turtle-shoe necklace. (Turtles? Shoes? What? Once you see it you'll get what I mean.) I am now gearing up to go to Europe (at least in my head). I have to do my taxes so I can spend the return money on postcards and postage and presents this summer. I'm so excited! I have no idea what to get any of my coworkers. I think gifts this year will mostly come from Ireland because I've never been there before. Lots of pictures and postcards, as always. I am far too excited for my own good.

I'm feeling so much better. Crazy purge out of the way. You all can ignore it now.
