Day 371:...on both your houses
Oct. 25th, 2006 03:35 pmThe girls of Macbeth Manor are still ill. I was feeling better yesterday. Today I feel pathetically ill and have been making vaguely threatening gestures at everyone with my tissue box. The entire English department seems to know I'm infected, and Nic kept making cross signs at me. Plague does not equal vampire, but I understood the sentiment. I felt bad about tutoring people today, but I did it anyway. Oops. I just now realized that I marked down the wrong number of people I tutored. Because one appointment was so pathetically short. Oh well.
Yesterday, in celebration of our collective illness, the Wyrd sisters trooped out. We rented some movies, watched the first half of Schindler's list (the disc gave us loads of trouble even after Del put effort into making it all minty fresh) and then we went to watch The Prestige. Again, for me, but it was soooo worth it. I love the Nolan brothers. They are the awesome. Just when we were starting to despair that Hollywood would never make another good movie again. We ranted and raved about it afterwards, when Del took us to dinner at Applebee's. She had some gift certificates, so we talked about the actors we think are hot (my top three being, oh so nerdily, Robert Pattinson, Jonathan Rhys Meyers, and Ewan McGregor) and lots of other things. We ran into Chibi Scott and Niko there. Hopefully we can play magic together sometime, but for as awful as I feel today I've half a mind to stay home tomorrow and just sleep it off.
Yeah. Then we hung out back at the apartment, watching TV and stuff. Marty came over, and I helped him with some homework.
Then I slept. This morning I realized that I had neglected to do a CJ assignment, so I ended up skipping CJ to do it. Not like we were going to do anything important in that class anyway. I went to mythology, and work. Alex and I are both skipping Latin, because we're both sick. Everybody's sick these days. That's what crazy weather changes will do to the locals.
All I really have to do is some Shakespeare. I do want to hang out with Seirra some tonight, because I missed her earlier this week. So sad. But other than that, I plan on doping up on some Dayquil and being a bit more pathetic.
